you don't know what weaponery these creatures have, but we can assume, that with their "UFO's" and anti gravitational spaceships and cloaking devices (as seen in some videos) that they would possibly have unpenetratable shield technology too and weapons a lot more advanced than our own.

But the fact remains, you DONT KNOW what weaponry these things have. They could have shields, they could have bio-technology (district 9) OR they mightent have any weapons what so ever.
But If they have the ability to come to our home planet, then they are about 100x more advanced than us.
If aliens did attack us I would obviously want them to be defeated, but it would be like little girls vs the SAS. No chance in hell would we win.

They also don't know what we possess. I'm sure an emp or a nicely placed small tactical nuke would decimate any UFO. We have railguns and ultra high power lasers. I don't see what it would be able to do to us if we went underground.
But anyways, what's to say they want to hurt us? Or that we could just easily kick their asses.
