I asked some of them and they said it was because they were born that way. Thet they have no choice. Now being the person I am, I was thinking "proof or gtfo" lol. So what do you think? Are gays really born that way? I personally say no.

I think the media has a large effect on it, but yeah, there were always gays/lesbians.

Well I said no because there's nothing in the prodded of being born that determines it, and theres no way it could be hariditary. I believe that they made the choice to be attracted to men. Maybe not such a darastic choice, but a simple decision wether they think their attracted.

I say that most are. To not give them respect is awful. That's like saying, "Because he's a Christian I have no respect for him", or with my thinking of that they are born that way "I won't respect him because of his skin color."

Are you serious? When you are born your genes and thinking process are decided. There should be a test done to show that they do think differently. Why would they choose to be that why if they didn't, necessarily, agree with it.

Wow.. Um that's total atheism right there. Why if we have preset thinking processes makes it such a stereotype for black people to get terrible grades? What makes them want to commit crimes? I'm not saying all of them do, but when you go to a public school, with 2000 kids, you would get the picture. Any ways, they think that just because their black, means they have to follow a certain standard, and they are so used to it, it's natural for them. Same as how gays started to follow a standard, now it's just seems natural for them. Also when you look back about 100 years, there was almost no such thing as gay people in the US. Now there more popular just because of god knows what, but it's a trend.

It depends. Whilst scientifically speaking you can be born gay(Google it), influence from your childhood seems to have a big effect.

Well thing is I believe every one has a choice with this senario. There's been many people with the same child hood as gays, even worse, and came out straight. But there's definitely an influence on people.

Please. Gays have been around as far back as the 18th century, probably earlier.

Personally, I'm going to say that gays aren't born that way, but it's still out of their control. I believe that sexual preference is something that is formed by your environment. Be it a few traumatizing moments in childhood, or just the people you hang out with. I assume that being gay is much like having a fetish (albeit a strong one), I'll use a foot fetish as an example. What biological reason would there be for sexual attraction to feet? None. So why would someone become attracted to them? External influencers.
