(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); How to properly use there, their, and they're.

There refers to a place or location.
Example: Look, fat people live over there.

There is also used with the verb "be" (is, am, are, was, were) to indicate the existence of something, or to mention something for the first time.
Example: Was there a reason to post that there?

Their is possessive.
Example: Their body composes of 90% fat.

They're is a contraction of they are. When using they're, always think, they are.
Example: They're really fat.

Now, time to use all three together.
Warning: This is for experts only!
Example: They're at their house, over there!

You might be wondering why I made this thread. And I do understand that this is not school, but seriously, it makes you look stupid if you repeatedly use the wrong there, their, or they're. Well I am not picking on anybody, but here are a few recent examples of improper use:

Thanks for the lesson, another great thread by Dopey, youre really just knockin it out of the park in gd lately. Let's hope someone missed that day in second grade and stumbles upon this invaluable thread.
