Crumpets and tea?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I don't want this decsending into another Bin Laden case story thread because we've seen enough of that yesterday.
However the current news does present an interesting question.
Over the last 48 hours I've noticed a significant difference in the reactions of friends in America compared to friends in England regarding the amazing news.
While my British friends pick apart the news and question its validity our American counterparts welcome in and celebrate the news.

Interesting enough one of my american friends commented on a Facebook status with "there is proof, go watch Obama's speech". Well if Obama says so it must be right. Right? Anyway what does everyone else think? Are the brits just more suspicious or?

It lives, my 360 is back
I wouldn't say we British are more sceptical, we just accept that our politicians are full of shit and don't believe them.

We thought Blair was Bush's bitch when he blindly followed him into the Iraq War. We thought Brown was a complete and utter **** up and to top that off, we couldn't tolerate anyone in the last election so two candidates with not enough votes for either one to be elected decided to team up use their combined power to kick out Brown.

It sounds like a Michael Bay movie. Two helicopters go in, one suffers a technical failure and crashes. The troops decided to go rest of the way on foot and blow up their own helicopter for security reasons. They raid the compound, find the bad guy who uses a woman as a human shield. The bad guy, being uber powerful needs an extra ass kicking so it takes two bullets to kill him. They take the body, do the fastest DNA testing in recorded history (or they grabbed David Caruso off the set of CSI Miami to do it) and bury him at sea.

Total time, less than a day.

It's why I am still waiting on Osama's new video, saying he trolled America.

In Flames Much?
Of course you can't generalise a whole population , like me saying all Americans are fat.

Think the real reason people in the US are not that sceptical at this story down to 9/11 being a US event. Some don't believe most likely right wing.
So the reason why Americans are not scepitcal at this news it hit the nation bad, this is revenge or justice in peoples eyes. Could be fake they don't care it puts a end to it.
Much like a family after a death goes to a median to talk to the dead. It closure for many at the end of the day.

Both are like each other not looking at the whole thing why it said the source etc
Some in each group do of course can't generalise

We (americans) lost husbands, wives, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, and friends from 9/11 and the war. I personally lost a close friend, he was serving his country. He lost his life to protect generations of freedom. This is our moment to know that one of the men behind it all, has been brought to justice, and thrown to Hell's Gates.

I'VE GOT JUNGLE FEVER
You need evidence there is none simple as. At the moment I am thinking its a fake operation to boost the popularity of the president, he'll probably get another term now because he is the presdient "that got osama bin larden", which obviously bush failed to do.

They said on the news though tonight that the officials in the white house were debating whether to release the real pictures of his body, maybe there getting these photoshoped pictures at top quality before released :p

Because most Americans believe anything they see on TV thats why they think English people sit down for afternoon tea and meet the queen for dinner /facepalm

All this Osama shit is ridiculous, i love the way America is taking all the glory when honestly they have done very little in the whole Gulf war compared to their allies.

We all celebrate in our own way. It is a great victory for the US, but the war against terrorists is not suddenly over.. More will take his place, it's an ongoing process.

By Gulf War I assume you mean the Iraq War, in which America is the only non-withdrawn country still in the middle east, which is why we get all the glory.
