This is the fifth NextGenUpdate Community Update, the week of May 23rd, 2011.

Rep Update

Yes, rep is gone. After a long discussion with the staff, we have decided to approve the removal of rep. Note this is a temporary change. We still need Outsider's decision on this situation. We still can turn on the reputation system in one click. The "like" system has been in place since the vB4 upgrade, so it acts like the rep system without giving you rep.

Name Changes

As always, do not ask an Administrator to change your name. You will have to pay around 200,000 vBux to get your username changed.

If you care about rep that much, then go to another site with your most beloved rep...

With them constantly saying, "Remember it only takes one click", I can see rep being turned back on. They realise what they've done now that the place is just chaos.

Likes are so gay, get them out!

I'm not hating or anything, I dont even mind but what was the point of the rep poll earlier this month? I mean the winning vote was to not do anything to rep and yet everything opposite of the winning vote was placed? What was the point?

Both yours and Chris's post say that it's a temp. change and that rep may be back. Hmm.....

Outsider will agree with the removal of rep. Around 3week ago Outsider came on into the shoutbox and told us rep's disabled and everybody started ranting so he put it back with the words "it's back for now but don't expect it for long" or something along those lines....

The only thing I dislike about the removal of rep is that you created a poll and yet you still do what we voted not too.
