(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi,

Well i'm 16 and in December i'll be 17, and i'm planning on going for my test straight away. I'm planning to get a scrapper for the first few months until March, when here in the UK the new letter (61) comes out.

My budget is at the most pushed at £40,000 (around $64,500). I've been thinking maybe a You must login or register to view this content., a You must login or register to view this content., or a You must login or register to view this content..

What are your thoughts on these or do you know any other cars in that price range, new or second-hand?.

My first car is probably going to be a golf or something. Reliable, cheap and speedy if needed. Why the hell would you want such an expensive car? If you want, buy a BMW used. They are cheaper and still most of the time in good condition :y:

I know insurance over there is WAY more yhan here. :p When I got my first Z32, my dad bought it, but I had to cover all repairs, service, and insurance costs. It really taught me responsibility, if I sped, it would funnel out all my cash. I suggest that that's what all fathers do. Buying a car is too much for a teenager, and lets face it, no teen wants a pos to drive around.

I love how people can be jealous ****s for no reason... how do you know "daddy" as you put it is buying it, cause he's not?.

Who ever NEEDS a great car, it doesn't make a difference if your 17 or 70... it's not ever needed, its just something i've worked hard for for years. Please don't be a twat about it.

Woah, that's a really big budget. I was going to say honda accord... But I guess not.
If I had that budget, I would go for a BMW M3, Audi A or a Corvette depending on if you want 2 or 5 seats.

Yo can find lots of great cars for really cheap nowadays. £10,000 could get you a Mercedes Bens CL600 from about nine years ago. Don't bother looking at new cars because you will be wasting a great opportunity as your money will go really far nowadays. So get on some used car sites and look for cars in the 10k price range, Merks, BMWs a Honda NSX could even be good. Let me know how you get on. I would love to be in your position right now. :love:

Haha I have been described as a twat at times :p OH I almost forgot. Nissan GTR is an absolutely great car, powerful, 4WD, 4 seats, big boot, excellent build quality and devilishly quick. It's not too nice looking but you could get it nice and cheap.
