The reason why I'm asking it like this is because they both involve the killing of a human. What are your views on each of them?
You keep saying "after the baby exists etc" but to me during the time that abortion is legal(I forget how many weeks it is) it isn't a baby. It just has the potential to be a baby, just as sperm etc does.
That's why this is so awkward to debate though, everyone crosses the line in a different place to one-another and IMO no answer is the best logically(unlike the infamous deity debate ).
Agreed. It is a point that is difficult for people to agree on. I claim conception is the point where it becomes an independent lifeform simply because it's the earliest point where it WILL become a baby without any further action on anyone else part... for the sperm to become a baby the parents have to actively choose to have sex, but for the zygote to grow into a baby all we need to do is... nothing. If you disagree with this premise though, naturally we'll disagree on the conclusion, but I feel we at least understand each others opinions, and as intelligent reasonable people, honestly we're the least likely to have abortions or put women in the position of having an abortion as we will likely use contraception, be more discerning with out choice of partners, and carefully plan pregnancies for when we want them. As such I find this debate almost humorous, but very interesting, it's nice to discuss opposing positions without one side using fallacies, playing word games, or being purposefully deceitful.

Where the hell was I when this thread started? Anyways to the point. The death penalty I could care less about, the the ****ers fry. Harsh laws will get it trough peoples heads, maybe I shouldn't rape/murder that woman in my office. Abortion; holy **** I can't stand this debate. Its a lose lose debate. There will never be a wining side. In my option, its fine. Your not "killing" a baby, your not "killing" a human, your not "killing" a person. Because if you were, you would be on death row with the other murders. If a woman get pregnant, she has the right to choose whether or not she wants to keep it. As the father or guardian of the couple it is not your right to say whether or not she will have an abortion. If the woman choose not to have the child, the father and or/guardians must be understanding. If the woman chooses to have the child, the father and or/guardians must be supportive. The father especially. Teen birth rates are the highest they have ever been, do you really think they will use condom? not no but **** no. Many of teen moms/dads have no ****ing clue what they are doing, does this make them bad parents? no. Does this mean the child will have problem? no. It just simply depends on how the child was brought up. Meaning, if you beat the shit of the child, odds are he/she is going to be a serial killer. I'm not saying people shouldn't use condoms but its the truth. Also, most of the time teens who get pregnant at a very young age, don't go to school. They end up working at McDonalds, along with their parents because odds are, they got pregnant at a young age too. And another thing, if a woman wants the abortion, shut the **** up and don't talk shit. Protesting and bitching about how its murder doesn't and isn't going to solve anything.
In the end this all boils down to Common Sense. Stupidity is the worst form of ignorance.
