(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Important note: This is a very touchy subject to some people and rightfully so. Whilst negative comments about any given sexuality are OK, pointless and unnecessary bashing of other people's sexuality will not be tolerated. Once you cross this line your post(s) will be deleted and you will be warned, and if you persist you will be punished for flaming. I know this is a very strongly worded warning, however I feel given the thread topic it's utterly necessary.

Anyway, onto the debate itself- sexuality. There are many different labels of sexuality, so I'd thought I'd list them below(largely C/P to save time, if I missed any or falsely described anything let me know):

  • Heterosexuality- Is the sexual attraction between members of the opposite sexes such as a man attracted to a woman and vice-versa.
  • Homosexuality- is the sexual attraction between members of the same sexes such as man to man and woman to woman.
  • Bisexuality- Is the sexual attraction to both the opposite and same sexes such as man to man and man to woman, woman to woman and woman to man.
  • Asexuality- Is also known as nonsexuality which is the lack of sexual attraction and sexual interest towards others.
  • Polysexuality- Is the sexual attraction to more than one gender but do not wish to be known as bisexual as it implies that there are only two binary sexes, do not confuse this with pansexuality ('pan' meaning all) and ('poly' meaning many).
  • Pansexuality- Is the sexual attraction towards people regardless of gender also known as omnisexuality. Some pansexuals refer to themselves as gender blind as to them gender is insignificant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others.
  • Transexualism- Is when a person identifies themselves as a certain sex different from their own biological one. For example a person may be born male, and is uncomfortable with their gender as a male and changes to a female, or vice-versa.

Personally I'm heterosexual, however I have no problems with other people expressing their own sexuality and being who they really are.

Feel free to comment below and be honest, then hopefully this thread can be used to maturely discuss sexuality away from the nonsense you so often see elsewhere Smile

I'm going to assume you are a brainwashed religious bigot so I really don't take much credence from what willingly ignorant individuals like yourselves spew out of your mouths. How about you talk to the gay community or take the time study this subject and see exactly how WRONG you really are. And even if it was a choice (which it isn't,) an individual should have that choice because we have the the right to life, liberty, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

No im not a religious bigot and do you really think some one is born gay? Think about it for a second..... do you really think it's not a choice..... Just how ignorant are you? What about the people who are married to women and then turn around and go and marry a man? That's a choice not something you were born with. I don't believe anything is wrong with gay like I said in my previous comment but it is a choice you just don't come out of the womb gay that's just a bunch of crap.....

It's not a choice! Look at the data, it's all around you! Let's try this experiment, when did you choose to be straight? I certainly didn't choose to be straight, I always was attracted to women. And me ignorant? Please ignoramus, I'm not the one calling homosexuality a choice, that's ignorant. And the men who married women then men? Because of individuals like yourselves who frown on homosexuality and they try to marry a woman to "fix" their "gayness." But they realized it made them miserable, so like any sane individual, left. You'll notice this trend a lot in those horrible gay conversion therapies. So please, shut the fuck up with your uneducated dribble.

Do a barrel roll!
Personally I am heterosexual and have no problem against homosexuals. In fact my mother is bisexual, but one thing I find weird is for some random reason homosexual individuals seem to have an attitude against me and I never said a word to them or about them

I'm 14 & I'm going to be a freshmen when school starts again & for 4 years i have identified myself as Bi- (no i did not choose to be this way, i can't stand people who "choose" there sexuality) but for about 5 years i have been bullied. 6th grade i got expelled because i snapped when a bunch of people were making fun of me & i stabbed someone. In 7th grade drugs and cutting had became an issue, as it was my way "out". People chased me home with lead pipes, high schoolers would jump me & beat me with there skateboards. 8th grade people would slam me into computers, walls, my locker, they would break into my locker and take my stuff, they would write fag & etc. on my locker. I'm not all out make-up & stuff like that, if you were to see me i would look like a normal person (not saying other people aren't normal). This isn't a sob story to get people to feel bad for me, I'm saying this for anyone that feels alone. thx for reading everyone I'M BI- AND I'M PROUD!!!

Thanks for sharing. I think the motto "it gets better" needs to be resoundingly shared for those in similar predicaments and you're one example of many of that. Smile
