(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Have you ever wondered if there is life other than earth in the whole universe? I personally believe there is, I was watching discovery channel about making diamonds.. and they found that through the most extorodinary conditions that some bacterium survived. So in theory they should be able to multiply and make life on other planets and thrive.

Discuss.

DoO u kno how big space is?? iTs Da Biggest Thing EVER!! so im thinking 99/100 theres is life on a planet that we dont even kno about...We have to travel in light years or even faster than that...i kno we have WaaaY MORE PLANETs iN SPACE!!!

well watch discovery channel sumtime there have been many programs on there about how our universe is just a big bubble of space with many other universes around it and each can have there own set of laws

and they even think that our universe was created when 2 of these other bubbles(universes) colided it created our universe

if u thinck about it that would fit into the big bang theory aswell

but 1 thing that i havent figured out is y the universe is still expanding
if this theory was correct then it would stop expanding at somepoint due to resistance from the other universes

but the most recent test show that the expantion is speeding up not slowing down

unless the expantion is enough to actually push them away from us
or they have actually started to merge at the edges thus allowing the expantion to continue

ps all of u asking y we dont go into space and find out
well basiclly theres just to much ground to cover even traveling at the speed of light would take ages just to get to another solar system

with that said even if we do discover how to travel at lightspeed or beyond it wont matter becuase the universe is always expanding at and increasing rate
making it just about imposable to reach another galaxy let alone the edge of the universe

I believe that life on other planets is inevitable, and that they don't need what we need to survive. So people that believe they do have narrow minds and can't even grasp the concept.

and you realize all of that is simply theory. that they cannot prove it. they cannot prove there is an end to the universe or that there is no end. albert einstein created a theory with an endless universe. so going solely on the discovery channel (which said hotdogs were healthy) is absurd. look around more

The universe has been expanding for 13.7 billion years (proven by Edwin Hubble). It's impossible to expand an infinite amount (there is no such thing as an actual infinite), therefore it ends.

The Big Bang theory. Heard of it?

Fundamental ignorance of what the scientific term theory means. A scientific theory is an explanation which best fits a set of observable facts, and makes testable predictions - for example cosmic radio waves left over from the Big Bang.

A theory CAN be proven (for example germ theory, the theory of gravity, the theory that the sun is the center of the solar system, the theory that the earth is round, etc.).

Well, as said earlier there is no such thing as an actual infinite distance which propagated from a finite distance.

No he didn't. Trust me, I spent a good amount of time studying his theories. He just thought that it was endless, but he never actually had any theories saying so.

He never said he was going solely on the discovery channel, did he? No, he just say you should watch it from time to time.

number 1: we werent talking about anything that had to do with the big bang theory

number 2: "best fits" still not 100%. so saying it has an end when you cant prove it goes against every argument you make. you say you go with what can be proved. this is like religion, it cant be proved. and yes a theory can be proven, but then its no longer a theory, its a fact. fundamental ignorance of the dictionary. and the big bang does not prove the universe has a boundry.

number 3: your being like a religious person. you say what you believe and you cant prove it. you cant prove the universe ends anywhere. you cant prove it doesnt. its something you believe

look it up in a dictionary. there are 2 things, organic, and nonorganic. i'm sure you can tell the difference between that. a rock is not alive. a protozoa however is, even though it is one cell. water is not living, but fish are
