i say prolife. if your going to have an abortion do the selfless thing and put it up for adoption. you can be charged for 2 counts of murder if you kill a pregnant woman (one of the counts being for the baby) but if you have an abortion its nothing. there is a double standard there. cause then its just saying the woman can choose to murder. cause thats what it is if you kill the baby w/o her consent. so does that mean my parents can choose to kill me too?

A fetus has exactly the consciousness of a carrot. It is a lump of tissue. Some people might say "oh, but it destroys POTENTIAL human life!" So what? Every time you masturbate, you are mass genociding millions of potential human life cells. In fact, your sperm die every second. That means that every second you don't spend having sex, you are destroying potential human life. Every time a girl has her period, she has let to waste potential human life. That means every month she isn't pregnant (while her body is able) she is destroying potential human life.

Yes, there is a double-standard, but think of the hypocrisy of most pro-lifers themselves. A survey found that most of them support the death penalty as a punishment. Some might say "oh, but they aren't innocent like an unborn child!" Once again, not the point. Being pro-death penalty is saying you support the idea that the government should have the right to decide who lives and who dies. Well, who are they to decide?

Think about a girl who was raped. Who is the government to tell her that she HAS to have the baby - a constant reminder of the traumatic incident - for nine traumatic months before being able to rid herself of it? The baby would be at an orphanage, and would probably have a sub-par life regardless. Shouldn't every baby be a wanted baby? So which is the more evil act?

What about an ectopic pregnancy? What would you do there?

lets say you're a female and you get raped and get impregnated. ya adoption is the first thing you think about but really would you have to put up with giving birth for a baby that you dont even want. Those 9 months you will go through hell because you wont be able to forget the day of the rape. Giving birth is also a big sacrifice. your body changes dramatically! you gain a lot of weight, cant do normal activities you would normally do, if you are working you will need a couple months off.
to make things worse lets say you are really poor working three jobs to survive on your own. being pregnant will cost a lot more and those medical bills are gonna be expensive if you dont have insurance. and if you dont have any family what are you gonna do now that you cant work?
in this case abortion would be the perfect choice. <- thats my nice way of sayin shut up =D

I say that Pro-Choice HAS to be in effect. The government has NO right to say whether you must carry a child or not. What if they were raped and became pregnant, would you then say she has to carry that baby and live with the reminder of her being raped every time she sees her child, and also she would have to go through pains that are so severe it's unbearable for something she did not want. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but the option to have abortions is important

Pro-life is the way to be. Just because the baby has not been born yet doesnt give the mother the right to destroy it. Well carrying it for 9 months and giving a child a life rather than killing it sounds better to me. If you cannot keep it after this period then give it up for adoption or find foster parents.

HOWEVER there are some situations where Pro-choice should come into practice. Yes, here a mother should decide whether or not she should have the baby and deal withe the trauma and stress.

And when there is an eptopic pregnacy (where the child is growing in the fallopian tubes or anywhere other than the womb) i think it should be up to the woman wether or not she should terminate the birth or give her own life for the child.
