Well. How do you know about the sun dies then earths time is up (Yeah earth would die like but...) What about about if the earths core explodes? Then we are screwed.

Anyway, nuclear war, asteroid impact, etc. won't destroy the earth itself. Humans might die out but the earth will still be here. The sun's death will mean the end of the earth (most likely).

No same crap as 2000 2006 2008 and now 2012.

Our kids, kids, kids will still be on this earth..

LOL its possible for the earths core to explode. But even so a death of a star (Not the sun) could wipe us out. Same with Planets/Moons etc.

Okay the earths core will and can NOT explode for any reason, at all. the only type of star that we need to worry about dying on IS the sun, Which it won't another good billion years.

Meh. We are all dead people walking. We shoulda been dead over 100 times now.

There's so many different opinions on the subject of 2012, a quick google search and flip through a few shows that aired on discovery channel you'll come across more than 100 different theories. Most of them sound very reasonable and believable and all incorporate many different facts that scientists, astrologists etcetera release on a daily basis but mostly are just that, a theory based on facts among other stuff such as interpritation of ancient hieroglyphs and drawings mainly with the ancient Mayan culture where they depict allot of alien like beings and "ancient astronauts" and how ancient civilizations were taught to build the architectures they did by aliens or superior beings that they considered gods, stuff like that.

But the basis seems to be the advanced calender they invented which is far superior to ours but I guess ours of based off of it and in my opinion that's where all the questions come in about why did it stop at December 21st 2012 but it doesn't seem as anyone can provide a legitimate answer to it just a guess. I've watched and read most documentaries on 2012 and the Mayans and read quite a few articles about it and like I said most come off to me personally as "wow that makes sense" then they contradict themselves and say something completely ignorant I wont name any specific but that's generally how it is for me.

I think the whole idea of fun and entertaining personally, a part of me wants to believe because personally I think it would be awesome if the world would actually come to a blazing end in 2 years...or it doesn't have to come to an end even just a few catastrophies here and there to change the way we live but the other part just doesn't gives a crap. I think my favorite theory was

1) The Annunaki I believe they were called were giant intelectual beings or gods that came to earth in search of gold so they could rebuild their atmosphere or something like that and they come from Nibiru (planet x) and earth was the only planet they found to harvest the substantial amounts of gold they needed and created slaved to harvest gold for them but the slaves were too slow or dumb or something like this and the goddess I believe was said to have spliced their DNA with their creation to create a more compitent slave after many failed attemps at creating a better slave species and thats where the human race came from and apparently this planet x or Nibiru is supposed to pass earth by the date of December 21 2012 and were supposed to be revisited which could result in numerous outcomes too many to list from what I read, an alternate portion of that was rather than being visited the planet could mess with earths orbit or gravitational pull and causing the earth to stop spinning or slowly drift away from the sun. This was supposedly the race that The Mayans saught as gods which they depict in allot of their drawings and were given certain knowledge of the solar system etcetera.

again this is one of those stories that has multiple alternate versions of it but I thought this was most entertaining not that I actually believe it. Youtube has allot of cool videos I recommend watching ancient aliens and stuff if anyone is into that stuff I thought that was interesting but anyway I don't necessarily believe it or disbelieve it I just keep it as an idea to entertain myself with.
