(Sorry for such a short thread I will be adding more detail and stuff at a later date, But I am still in a bit of pain so I don't have the energy to do it just yet.)

Not only did you give your friend the gift of life you also gave his family the gift of him being there for them as well.
My uncle in law is waiting for a kidney match and will start dialasis (bad spelling lol) soon if he can't get one.
Your friend is very lucky that you were even a match.
