i would say laptop for the portability. you can take it almost anywhere and enjoy using it.

i bought a desktop about a week ago (had a laptop before it) and i much prefer my desktop, obviously if your always needing to take a computer with you where you then your gonna want a laptop, but as an all round computer i prefer desktops

id say laptop because it is just more practical and can be used anywhere, however alot of desktops are better because they have more "power" and so can run more applications/programs and they are alot better for gaming

Desktops are better value, if you want a laptop to be of the same standard as a desktop you will have to pay at least 2 times the price.
