My name is Stuart Chaifetz, and my son, Akian, is a ten-year old boy who has Autism. Akian has always been a sweet and non-violent child, and that is why it was so distressing when notes started coming home from his school, Horace Mann Elementary in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, saying that he was having violent outbursts, including him hitting his teacher and aide.

I don't know why, this video really got to me. The fact that these kids were being treated like this and if he hadn't put a wire on his son, it would have gone of like this. It's just sick that people, teachers, the people who the kids are supposed to look up to can do something like this.

And sadly this will always happen. Even in public school similar stuff happens. Not to this extent but close. When i was in school teachers would get so Fed up with the kids not paying attention and tell them to shut the F*ck up, out loud too. Even if the kids aren't paying attention you dont need to result to fowl language. When ever we'd curse we would get sent the the office and our parents called :/

That's so fucked up, who do those teachers think they fucking are? If they're teachers for this class, they should be certified or something for handling kids like this. Fucking shame. No

The bad thing about this though is recording a teacher without their consent is illegal. If I was him though, I'd watch out because he can be sued for recording without permission.

Same goes with Video/Camera/Audio towards teachers and such, without their permission, you may not record/photograph them.

Actually this has been done many times in the past, and has caused many problem for the school. While yes it is illegal to record without consent, sometimes it can be overlooked depending on the situation. Law enforcement will use this type of action to get a confession.

The main teacher you hear in this video (Jodi, I believe) has been fired. Since he says that he's not taking them to court, the audio wouldn't need to be presented and I highly doubt that the teachers in this video are going to have the cheek to try and sue him.

Yep, even though it is illegal, because it wasn't obtained through Law Enforcement, the exemption rule for illegally obtained items does not apply.

It's like if I break into your house and steal 3 bags of coke. I can be charged for burglary but you still can be charged for possession of contraband, that's pretty much if you state it is yours.

I find it amazing what passes for being legal sometimes.

Wha, no officer I have no idea where that coke came from. I am missing a bag of crack tho. Happy
