(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does gaming appeal to you like it used to? I mean before all of the competition for the best graphics and FPS games. Where you could just have fun for hours and hours but now everything's cut short.

I think gaming in some ways has gone up but most of it has gone down and everything is rushed and it just doesn't feel right anymore, don't get me wrong I do love gaming it's just nothing feels the same anymore.

Do any of you guys feel the same way?

Sorry if it's a pointless thread I just wanted to know what peoples feelings are on the way gaming is evolving.

I couldn't agree with you more. It just isn't my thing anymore. I get bored so quickly and it surprises me because I used to be able to play endlessly.

I don't know about you but I love FF games, Kingdom Hearts games etc. I can play them endlessly for hours and hours, but then I think about games to be released and everything already out and I just sigh at how everything is turning out. Only thing keeping me gaming really is all the HD remakes being released, Assassins Creed, Uncharted etc.

RIP PICHU.
What I hate is before, you would hear, 1-1/2 years in design, 2 years in development and now it's 6 months, 8 months to put together and make it then wait 4 extra months for release to make it feel like it's been a year of production.

I miss those games where you actually had to think and put time into it, games like Skyrim or Kingdom Hearts, Call of duty was great at #2, had some bugs but due to lack of paying attention and patching, the game was ruined. Now, every game by them is getting worse and worse. Battlefield is a great game, I just can't afford it but aside from that, I have noticed that I play my PS3 less and less.

Problem rule #16?
Most FPS have lost their luster to me in my opinion. Its kinda sad that HD collections are becoming more entertaining to me than new games are.
One series however is still releasing quality games in my opinion (aka ones that dont feel rushed) and thats the "Tales of" series. However since thats a Jap RPG series thats kinda hard to rush.

That is definitely true, everyone is in a rush for their pay cheques now and by rushing it they are finishing with half done games a ton of DLC for more money and just bug after bug, Old games everything was tested before put on shelves its just a shame what gaming is turning into.

I honestly think HD collections are the best things out their right now due to the fact they are cheap and they hold 3 games at a time and have had nothing changed but a graphic update which is awesome, I have never played them games but I intend to due to the fact everythings FPS now and not really how it used to be.

wow i thought that was only me all my friends can game for hours but in the W@W days i could log a solid 80 hours a week playing...Now i can barley go 10 i get board easy now its not the same i miss the old days. I think its because of the repetition of games and gameplay they need to make somthing completely new.

although I still play a ton, it's really not the same. find it harder and harder to find a new IP or whatever game appealing. maybe i'm just growing out of it... nah

The older games just had more character in them. It seems many of todays are rushed, and devoid of any real enjoyment.
Ultima series, wing commander, xcom, strike commander, etc. Those were awesome games.
