I can't even be bothered to play. Maybe I've grown up since those days but I don't play my Xbox as much as I used to. I'll be lucky to play it for an hour, sometimes that's just an hour a week, I just watch videos on it now. All the FPS games are trying to compete with CoD. Activision are just ruining gaming. Tony Hawk was a good game, then it came out every year and it got stale and shit, quick. They then made Guitar Hero, same thing with that, they release something like 8 spin off (Like the special ones such as Metallica) in one year. CoD has a huge fan base and that's why games are getting the same. The only way people will swap games is if it resembles CoD because that's what Devs think people want and that that is the way to bring in new players.

Everything is rushed. I liked playing games on the PS1 like Tomb Raider because they were good, then they got shit because they started to get rushed. Dreamcast had some mega games. Now though everything is about money and online.

Games can be rushed because they can be patched at a later date, something the consoles couldn't do. Games don't have to be long because companies can make money by making add ons for them to make them longer and make money at the same time.

Sadly though Devs won't listen because people still buy and play the games released now. It's not like everyone will put controllers down for a month to make a stand, so nothing will get done.

I feel the same way. I find it really hard to jump onto a game now and really enjoy it without getting bored in an hour. I agree that most games now are being rushed and released with too many bugs and what not, then being piled on with patches and add-ons that cost even more money on top of $60. Like MW3 and the Elite bullshit. $#@! paying another $50 for that shitty game.

I feel that even Battlefield 3 wasn't completely finished when they released it. They could have added so much more. We couldn't even leave inbetween games up until a month ago. Plus they've been changing everything with patches left and right.

The only games I'm really looking forward to now are Assassin's Creed 3 and GTA V, maybe Halo 4 too, I'll have to see where they go with that.

i really think gaming changed over the years all i have to say is that i found it wayy more amusing back in the early 2000's

Trust me, they are not. Every game has much more customization on PC, better quality and better graphics.. Just better everything! This is because PCs are not limited, unlike consoles.
