(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Does gaming appeal to you like it used to? I mean before all of the competition for the best graphics and FPS games. Where you could just have fun for hours and hours but now everything's cut short.

I think gaming in some ways has gone up but most of it has gone down and everything is rushed and it just doesn't feel right anymore, don't get me wrong I do love gaming it's just nothing feels the same anymore.

Do any of you guys feel the same way?

Sorry if it's a pointless thread I just wanted to know what peoples feelings are on the way gaming is evolving.

It's true all games nowadays just want to be the next Cod I'd kill for some individuality again, I wish some of the good developers were still there like free radical and just imagine if they made a time splitters 4 that would be amazing.

It just gets to a point where everything is trying to compete with cod, yes I don't mind Cod but I just get annoyed with everyone trying to best it each year.

Gaming just needs some originality back instead of rushing everything i.e "We finished a game in 8 months, Record" yeah but you have millions of bugs and about 2 hours of gameplay it's just really sad.

It's not the consoles that's the problem, maybe PC gaming is better (I wouldn't really know) but the games are the same.

Well, I feel that call of duty rushes their next one waaayy waay!!! to fast..think about it, like it's out within a year and that's when it's just getting good!
I want some kind of game that's like a CoD that doesn't come out within a year, that's always updated with new content and maps guns and shit, Like CSS for a example, game has been out since like 04?? and it's still a great game and still stays on top. We need something like that on console.

HAHAHAHAHA i agree with you man. I still remember when i got my first gameboy it was 2-3 hour non stop till i would complete the whole game and now, playing on console i get tired of them in about 1-2 hours. but personally i feel that gaming have changed since time passed. It used to be for the fun of it and for releasing stress now its all about competition,k/d,score per minutes and skills.
Where have all the fun gone? :(

Daddy's home.
I can't even be bothered to play. Maybe I've grown up since those days but I don't play my Xbox as much as I used to. I'll be lucky to play it for an hour, sometimes that's just an hour a week, I just watch videos on it now. All the FPS games are trying to compete with CoD. Activision are just ruining gaming. Tony Hawk was a good game, then it came out every year and it got stale and shit, quick. They then made Guitar Hero, same thing with that, they release something like 8 spin off (Like the special ones such as Metallica) in one year. CoD has a huge fan base and that's why games are getting the same. The only way people will swap games is if it resembles CoD because that's what Devs think people want and that that is the way to bring in new players.

Everything is rushed. I liked playing games on the PS1 like Tomb Raider because they were good, then they got shit because they started to get rushed. Dreamcast had some mega games. Now though everything is about money and online.

Games can be rushed because they can be patched at a later date, something the consoles couldn't do. Games don't have to be long because companies can make money by making add ons for them to make them longer and make money at the same time.

Sadly though Devs won't listen because people still buy and play the games released now. It's not like everyone will put controllers down for a month to make a stand, so nothing will get done.
