Do a barrel roll!
People having the freedom to do what they want is what it's all about. It aint Big Brothers business (even though when you get married the government get involved), and it aint nobody elses business. I dont understand why people want to ban gay marriage, maybe because its against their religious beliefs.

Well, I've noticed throughout the years that most of the refutations against gay marriage are mostly founded upon an individual's moral/religious code. If society- in terms of political and social affairs- conceded with the demands of all of the discordant conceptions of what is morality, there would inevitably be a chaotic change to the socio-political climate. Although I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, and would never pursue it myself, I understand that by both nature and nurture, individuals may be inclined to pursue intimate relationships with others of the same sex. I do not believe that they should be deprived of what they find comfort and purpose in.

In America, although Jefferson's famous words, "all men are created equal", were referring mainly to white males/property owners of the era, society, as a a whole (minorities included) has taken the "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness" he also mentioned for granted. With the eventual ban of slavery/segregation and the allowance of women's suffrage in America, history has demonstrated that, once society subordinates its selfish interests and prejudices, it emerges from its state of ignorance and biased intolerance (which, of course, is based upon what they FEEL is right according to their convictions).

In this one sentence you were homophobic and pretended to be a 'big, strictly-hetero man'. It's laughable to say the least.

I... ugh. How old are you?

Agree 100%. I have no problem with anyones belief systems as long as they dont try to enforce it on others. In this case, we have ppl opposing gay marriage, which is ppl enforcing their belief system on gays. If everyone mind their own business, we wouldn't have a gay marriage debate. Let them get married if they want to, and everyone move on with their life.
