Basically, I have $250 and no idea what game console to buy...
I want to get a PS3 because the majority of my friends have that, but, I also want to get an Xbox because of the variety of good Games it has (Halo etc)

BUT I have no idea which one I should get...
So what I want is some help deciding on what one to get...

I have a PC, otherwise this thread would be non-existent. :carling:

why dont you see what all your friends have first then make a decision. personally, i'd go with a ps3... the online gaming is free and it has a bluray player.

ps3..........

I'd choose PS3 because:

-I prefer the exclusive games
-The online is free
-It has a blu-ray player
-Uses real money in the Playstation store as opposed to a Microsoft Points equivilant
-If you get Playstation Plus you get a variety of free games
-Wirless Internet
-Less chance of the console breaking

Downsides:

-Online isn't as fast as XBox
-Games aren't backwards compatible (can't play PS2 games, however you can play PS1 games but not save them)
-No party chat
-XBox has better controller (except the dpad, and it's a little less responsive)

ps3 all the way

I have a PS3 & an Xbox 360. I haven't picked up my Xbox controller since MW3 came out.
