Basically, I have $250 and no idea what game console to buy...
I want to get a PS3 because the majority of my friends have that, but, I also want to get an Xbox because of the variety of good Games it has (Halo etc)

BUT I have no idea which one I should get...
So what I want is some help deciding on what one to get...

I will keep my mind unchanged until July 11th 2012 when I will pick the one with Most Votes and purchase that console

A better idea would be to write down the pros and cons for each system, and base your decision on that. Both systems have their merits, it just depends on which games you like.

Dude at this juncture Xbox has barely any worthy exclusives. Get a ps3 it's a way better deal and it's more bang for your buck. Oh yeah the 360 controller is no way in hell better than the ps3 controller

I'll say ps3. i've got both, but the XBL service has been constantly lagging and signing me off lately with no explanation whatsoever whilst my ps3 connects to psn just fine with pretty much no lag at all. I personally prefer Ps3 due to the fact i don't have to pay annual fees to play online, but then again, the xbox has some better exclusives, such as halo and l4d.

This is mainly a PS3 forum. Who do you think will win.

I think you really need to consider if its worth buying a console now at this point in their life cycles.

xBox you need to pay while in the ps3 you don't need to pay.

Ok, So the pros and cons of the systems
PS3
Pros:
No Need to pay for online.
Good Games (MLB the show and other games i can't remember).
alot of people have it.
good looking controllers xD.
Can put Custom Themes.
Quieter.
Easy XMB layout.
Graphics.

Cons:
No Party chat (which means you can't be on another game and chat with your friends).
Alot of Tryhards xD.
Freezes Alot ( for me at least).
Doesn't have all the good games (Halo,L4D,Fable..:lol: jkjk).
Random people sending you hate mail and spam.
It doesnt have minecraft.

Now For Xbox 360

Pros:
Party Chat.
Has good Games (As stated above).
Graphics
Pretty good controllers.
Slim is more Quieter.
It has Minecraft.

Cons:
RROD (Red Ring Of Death).
Doesn't have all the good games (As stated above).
Complex Layout?
Little Kids AKA Squeakers (Both systems).

I have both the Xbox and ps3. The ps3 has things xbox doesn't have and xbox has things the ps3 doesn't have. I don't know why people whine and bitch about consoles. They are just immature and fucking 9 year old little kids. There both good damn systems.

I would go with the PS3. It's a good machine and you get the most bang for your buck. It isn't as likely to break down as I have seen from personal experience (I've had many friends complain about their Xbox breaking down but literally only one of my friends has complained about his disc drive fail on his PS3). You also get a Blu Ray player with the PS3. Also the online gaming portion is free on the PS3. However the online suite is far better on the Xbox. Also Xbox has: Halo, Left 4 Dead and Gears of War. That's not to say there aren't good exclusives on the PS3; there are tons of amazing exclusives on the PS3 but those three games are extremely amazing. In the end I choose a machine that combines good gaming with cost effectiveness and that is the PS3. If you can spend the extra money you may consider the Xbox but if you can't the PS3 is your best option.
