What Kidd Cold said...but don't say you're a perfectionist. That line gets used by EVERYONE. Maybe it'll work at an entry level job, but anything else and you'll get laughed at. You should actually say something along the lines of being shy, and having a tough time being hard on and yelling at people. Always turn it into a positive, then say that you are good at and enjoy motivating, leading, and recognizing people's accomplishments. You work well alone and in groups. You might connect with your interviewer if he was shy once, too. Smile about it.

Another one is that you're really ambitious and try to take on lots of things, but make slight mistakes because you rush. Tell him that you've been working on quality with quickness and have really improved upon it. Prepare to give examples (you're probably in school) so, name projects, good grades, homework, and clubs.

I don't care how old you are, go buy a good looking suit, skip nothing. If you can not afford one, at least buy dress pants, a dress shirt, a tie, a nice belt, and cheap dress shoes.

Be there 5 minutes early. 10 minutes is too early and you'll probably annoy him because he's busy, but less than 5 minutes is too late because he may call you in a couple minutes early.

Brush your teeth before you leave and swish with mouthwash. Pack mints or gum.

Use cologne, get a hair cut. Shave. Sit upright, relax. You're the missing piece of the company's puzzle and present yourself that way. You both want the same thing.

Wear a suit. Make sure it's ironed properly, with the creasing for the arms of your jacket and shirt and the crease for the trousers. If you have a beard, shave it. Don't try to lie and try to be yourself. No one will employ someone trying to be someone else. Also, it helps to know a little about the company. Hope you get it. (y)

1200 Isn't that much for a Job? You sure it's worth it.

It's true that the perfectionist one is used a lot! But my mother has always told me to go with that one as intro weakness and like you said especially if it's an entry level job. And then use another more unique but positive weakness. For example when I did my last interview I used the perfectionist line but I also told the lady that she must hear that one a-lot, but it's because I'm shy and would rather finish a task on my own than seek out help. But I know when I should seek help. She said that well the perfectionist one is all to common she rarely hears people put a different spin on it and explain why. I think it may depend on the area in which on works. I'm sure in a law firm they are looking for a answer which really makes a person stick out.

To the OP Sexy Solo has a lot of good suggestions! But if you bring gum throw it out before the interview. I can not tell you how many times my mom has passed an interviewee up because they were chewing gum during an interview.

+1. Haha and especially in this economy...I got the job over Ivy Leaguers and presumably older guys with experience. You have to be quick on your feet and sell yourself.

What dumbass would chew gum in an interview? Swallow it, trash can in the waiting room, spit it out in the grass... Common sense these days....

For strengths definitely say something that relates to the job, because that is what the boss is looking for. Ex: if you're going to work with customers often say you're good with people. But don't lie about it either, if the boss sees you're lying he won't give you the job. For weakness do the opposite, say something that you wouldn't need for the job. Best of luck man. :y:
