(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well I'll start off by saying that I am an avid gun lover, own some guns myself, love to shoot etc. But what I'm curious about is what you people think. I believe guns are amazing devices as they save lives everyday. I strongly believe that guns shouldn't ever become illegal, as there are millions of people who own guns and take care of them responsibly. Occasionally we have bad people that do bad things; especially with the Colorado shootings that happened on 20/4/12 but I do not believe others should have to lose their rights because of some thing some psychopath did. Guns do not have a mind of their own, if you told a gun to kill someone/thing it obviously wouldn't do it, its people that are bad; not the guns. I believe that guns are great tools, for protection, defense, and many other things. I hope that guns aren't ever illegal, as then you're defenseless and just a "bitch" per say. I could get all political on you guys, but thats not what my intentions are in this thread. So saying that, what do you guys think.\

Even if guns are made illegal for the public there are still underground ways of obtaining them. The shooter in Colorado had a gas grenade, where did he get that? I don't think you can buy those legally, so he must have had access to some black market.

IMO, I just don't understand why people need guns or at least here in NYC but I feel that the government is taking another right from our constitution. We have the right to have guns and it would really seem that the government wants to be in total control of the USA.

Still pretty fucked up that somebody who only has a speeding ticket to their record can do something that fucked up to so many innocent people. Shows you how much our world today is going down the shitter before our eyes. But when I turn 18 I plan on getting my CPL and will be carrying for my protection and for shit like this.

It was tear gas :p and a conceal carry license is very handy but from what i hear is pretty difficult to obtain. I believe you have to take a whole bunch of classes as well as receive some special instruction which takes a lot of time. I also agree with you about popping a few rounds in the guy, especially somewhere where they hurt so he can endure the pain he was putting the people through.

That is absolutely true, there will always be guns, but if there was a lot fewer then tragedies like this wouldn't happen, at least not as frequently. Knives have a practical purpose whereas guns don't, so the point you're making is actually ridiculous. I'd probably get stabbed, it's just the way it is. Chances are if I was being threatened I wouldn't have time to get to a gun anyways. Yes there will always be a bad apple, that's the point I'm making. If guns weren't handed around so much then these bad apples wouldn't be as much of a problem.

Currently own a Sig P226 9mm, 357 Magnum, 20 ga semi, 12 ga semi, 12 ga double barreled, and a Remington 700 .30-06.

Exactly :y:

Sigs are cool, i've fired one before but i still prefer my Glock 9mm haha :P and I need to get a revolver stare and I also own an R700, very cool gun, love it.

Maybe there should be some stronger Gun Control Laws but that's up to debate because Chicago has one of the toughest Gun laws and more people die there daily by gun shots than in Afghanistan.

Chicago is a prime example of why you need firearms to defend yourself, those illegal gun owners threaten you or your family and you're just gonna take it like a defenseless bitch? I don't think so.

You like that quote :p thought it was very appropriate toward the thread ^^

Bad people can get guns easily. Exactly what Solo said.

I don't like Glocks. Good gun, but I like the feel of a metal handgun in my hands. I have the same P226 Navy SEALs use, so it must be good. ^^

Love my 700. I have a Leupold Mark 4 on it. It's brought down some big game.

Guns are illegal here (Sweden) however criminals can always get them and that usually makes us non criminals left with nothing to protect ourselfs with... :/

You could still get one illegally... I'm 16 in the U.S. and many of my friends have possession of guns that are normally legal, but they're underage to own them. I also have friends in possession of illegal guns that they could not buy even if they ARE of age.

If we take away legal guns, more crazies will instead pick up illegal guns. If I want to shoot up a building, I would take the best weapon I could without taking risks, that means I wouldn't want to get arrested buying illegal guns, (or ones that require a higher class gun license) such as AKs, or actual military guns, like m60s or MG4s, fully auto.

If I had to break the law to get any gun, I'd get the most destructive gun I could, such as the above military type guns.

Because of this, I am a firm believer we should limit the magazines available. There is absolutely no reason you would need a 100 round gun mag for your AR-15, what the lunatic who shot up the movie theater had. They should limit magazines to 10 - 15 bullets, give me one reason you would need more than 15 shots?

P226's are obviously good, their put in the hands of our best soldiers :p My dad's friend is an E-9 seal and I got to shoot his P226, so it was legitimately a seal handgun :P

Not much into hunting tbh, i just love how you have to be super accurate to hit a target at 1000yards+ but yeah the thing is a beast

I agree with you on the magazines, being from California i have already excepted the under 10rnd mag law. Even though i brought some 30+ rounds ones from arizona that i sometimes use :p and tbh i prefer the 10rounders, the 30's are just a hassle to reload, plus you just keep pressing the trigger so you're just going to end up buying more rounds which are expensive.

Those guns you listed are badass guns, ill be honest, i wouldn't mind owning one, but the cost of ammo would be ridiculous. And no full auto here in CA so I can't :p but yeah, those cost upwards of 6g's if you really wanted one, their too expensive to have and maintain.
