i think that i may have it cleared up. I installed a few programs, and a new firewall that monitors inbound and outbound connections. Going to be watching this for a while, and see if anything pops up unfamiliar.

:fa: It wasn't a "random file", i just can't reveal what file it was from a method in elite forums.

i'd rather not do that. I have a ton of files that i would loose if i did that.
I think that i really need to invest in an external hdd so that i can backup my important files from the get go.

hold up
are you saying that theres a rat in elite?

NO, there is a method in Elite that I followed.
The method being downloading free things from a website where you pay to download programs.
I downloaded a random program that showed up to be useful, ran it, nothing happened, so I assumed it was the RAT.
2 Days later (today), I'm on facebook. All of a sudden they start controlling my mouse, going to porn websites, and screamers.

Can you not read?
" It wasn't a "random file", I just can't reveal what file it was from a method in Elite Forums."
It was a file from a method to get free programs in Elite.
It was a random program from the method posted. The program was a Skype Resolver.

If you don't want to do a system restore you can always run safe mode then press Windows key + R then type msconfig and check for any suspicious programs that may be running from start. Also check your scheduled tasks because the virus can run from there.

Once you think you've taken off anything suspicious you can download Malwarebytes Antimalware (free) and scan for viruses using that. It's very, very good for taking off viruses in my opinion. There is the chance that the RAT was FUD (fully-undetectable) but as long as it's not running (you've taken it off startup) it's sitting on your hard drive hidden (but safe) until the virus becomes UD (undetectable) then detectable.

Change all the passwords and security questions of all your emails, facebook, twitter etc accounts aswell, right now.

I've done that with lots of people's computers and they are now virus free. Or if you can't be bothered doing all that you can just lose all your programs and take backups of documents, reinstalling the OS.

Go to task manager and end the process and reinstall your pc.
Try to run tds killer and other scanners.
Always run a scan before downloading and download from trusted sources.
