I will never rep anybody who asks for it. Earn it

The Pledge of Allegiance is a reminder of all the veterans lost in battle and sacrifices this country has made. It is supposed to make you more patriotic.

Now, a debate on whether God should be used in the Pledge of Allegiance would be a good debate. What ever happened to separation of church and state?

God is part of this country because the founding fathers believed in God and the reason we have freedom of religion is to protect those who do not believe. they have the right to believe whatever they want but the majority still believes in God and therefore we win.

now stfu and rep me

What the fu.ck. Oh hell no, the founding farthers were deist and believe the bible was a piece of crap. They didn't want a single religion to be claimed as a the national religion, thats the last thing they ever want. The god part was added by congress. They would rather have small pox then that.

Also I don't really mind it, sure it can be a drag sometimes but its not that big a deal. Btw much love killswitch.

Second, the founding farthers were deist and believe the bible was a piece of crap. They didn't a single religion to be claimed as a the national religion, thats thats the last thing they ever want. Oh hell no! i was just saying that in a sarcastic tone. Obviously you missed the sarcasm about me asking for rep.
And about the religion crap we are talking about, don't diss the bible. The only founding fathers who were Deist were Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. And they weren't truly Deist to begin with. Have you ever heard of Episcopalian? That's basically Protestant which is Christian which means they believed in God and the bible. All the founding fathers including Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were Episcopalian. Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson decided that it would be best if they were neutral in a religious state if they were to be part of the government they created so they decided to "drop" their beliefs.
Don't try to say I don't know what I'm talking about. I wrote a 13 page essay about the true religion of our founding fathers in the 17th century. I got a B which was high because that professor only gives one student an A per paper.

Umm actually guys, I know the story of the pledge of alligance....

A man was sent to P.O.W. camp during the war. He stiched a flag on the inside of his only shirt when the guards weren't looking. Every night after the guards were asleep, they hung his shirt on the wall and said the pledge of allegance, which they made. After the guards caught them one night, and beat the man and then stole his shirt. After that, he made another shirt. After being beaten to near death he made another flag. So you know what? A man that nearly died for his country made the pledge, and you should be honored to say it don't complain.... It isn't a real pledge like you must think it is. It is sort of like a poem or a prayer. So stfu and don't complain about saying it... RESPECT YOUR COUNTRY

You backstabber!

One doesn't see the whole conversation in a screenshot of the sb.
You said "rep me killswitch"
And, thinking you repped me and I didnt rep you back, responded "Dopey if you rep me and leave a name I rep back"

I thought you repped me and didnt leave a name, and thus was commanding me to rep back.

Now back on topic...but not really:p

Like CobraD said, the founding fathers wanted separation of church and state. That obviously did not happen along the road.
