Yeah well, most of the US is brought up believing in god/ (catholic). So really if you think about it, it's not until high school where you could say, hey, I can make my own choices and shit, and not believe. So, what I am saying is, take the whole thing(pledge) out of high school.

They could just take the 'under god' out. The under god part wasnt officially enacted until 1951.

"Under God" was officially incorporated into the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954. The man to first initiate the addition of "under God" to the Pledge was Louis A. Bowman (1872-1959). The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution gave him an Award of Merit as the originator of this idea.[7][8] He spent his adult life in the Chicago area and was Chaplain of the Illinois Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. At a meeting on February 12, 1948, Lincoln's Birthday, he led the Society in swearing the Pledge with two words added, "under God." He stated that the words came from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. He repeated his revised Pledge at other meetings.[8]

I dont think I ever had to pray in class. The moment of silence is not a prayer or anything but to pay your respects being that really the only time a moment of silence is observed is usally when someone has died. If you pray during that time its solely up to you.

praying? that's a violation of separation of church and state. if they are telling you to pray, I have a few people I'd like to call. (unless its a private school)
