(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Which country do you think is the best to live in?

Please no biased answers and no answers like, "America because it's the best" or "France because I was born here," etc.

It's going to be hard for people to set aside their biases but honestly as an American I'd like to live somewhere in Europe. Maybe Germany or near Netherlands. But I've heard nice things about Singapore. Singapore's got low crime rates and zero tolerance on drug use etc. It almost seems like the perfect place to live imo. If I were to live in any Asian country it'd be Singapore because of how tropical it is ^_^

Yeah, as Donnie said 'It's going to be hard for people to set aside their biases'. Personally it'd be Norway, probably living somewhat as a recluse often going backcountry skiing and camping in the wilderness as it's one of the most beautiful places on Earth in my opinion and it'd be nice to escape the bullshit of society for a while :p But I'd be happy in most places to be honest, everything has it's good things and it's bad just some more than others.

I love to live in America. Regardless of what you say, the United States has the best form of government. Checks and Balances. Checks and Balances, everywhere! JK But on a serious note, I love to live in the US because, it's a democratic republic. The voice of the people is what matters. People are upset about Obama winning the election, but they're is no reason to be upset. The majority ruled. The majority wanted Obama and now he's back. We vote on everything here. Plus if government fuck up, we kick their asses out of office. The only problem I have with my country is the welfare programs. The government shouldn't be liable if you can't feed yourself because you have no money. There are people that don't work and have 5 kids. As taxpayers, our taxes increase and we have to pay for their freeloading asses. I would understand if someone has a disability that has them incapable of working. If the government stopped giving aid to those that sit on their lazy asses all day and leech off the government, I swear, the debt would NOT be as high as it is now. It's just a pet peeve of mine.

Besides that, I love the USA. In my opinion, it has the best government system/economic policy in the world. But then again, nothing is perfect...

Unfair things off the top of my head:

- The rich constantly get better treatment than the rest of us.
- We have a monarchy and church at the head of our country.
- Recently there were serious calls from politicians and public figures to get an 'extremist' deported. Whilst I understand the concern I don't think he was actually proven in court as having done anything wrong, and innocent until proven guilty should stand.
- Someone was recently convicted for burning a poppy. Again I understand how disrespectful that is but a large part of freedom of speech is to protect dissenting views.

As for myself, the Nordic countries look quite good at the moment.

Not only is it difficult to set biases apart, but this question is very subjective. There are a ton of factors that have personal preference: weather, taxes, form of government, jobs available, etc...

I can't really say there is anywhere I would move, but my top three countries that maybe I would like to live would be the US (I live here), Canada, Germany.

Can’t trickshot me!
to put biases aside on a choice that reflects off of personal preference, this is an impossible question. there is no "best" country to live in because everyone has their own interests. for me, i like music and the rave scene, so i would like to move to australia or somewhere in europe. i dont care much for government as long as its not over the line to the point where im a slave and i cant do things i love. for other people, they like to play sports. if those people like american football, then they would like to like in america. if people like to play football (soccer), then they would live in a country where football (soccer) is the main sport. so its impossible to point out a "best" country.

Born and raised in America but I just can't stand the intolerant, conservative, religious nutjobs. So I hopefully plan on moving to Canada, if not the Netherlands.
