Well in that case, here are my arguments.
You have already covered costs, and how it is more expensive than life-imprisonment.

Although I do not like msnbc for the most part, as they are left-leaning. They are still a good source of content in this case.
You have chance of error, so the last point that I would focus on would be one of the following:
- Violation of international human rights laws (source needed, came up in my research, not sure if this is completely accurate)
- No link between crime rates and executions. According to a few studies, the death penalty does NOT deter crime. Therefore it is not effective in preventing crime.
- Apparently it is also income dependent. The poorer are more likely to get it as opposed to the rich, also ties into racism:
