(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I used to live in a peaceful neighborhood and knew most of my neighbors but one day the house across from mines let another family rent the house ( Per say the for rent sign ) After a couple of months things seems fine until they started to park everywhere which was annoying and more people started to move in ( By the way this is a Hispanic family, not to be racists but my friends who are also Hispanic told me they tend to have a-lot of family under one roof) it was fine by me as long they didn't start any trouble. Weeks later now more cars started to stay and more people. One day Loud music started to blast though the neighborhood which was loud enough to vibrate my walls and the whole neighborhood. I thought it must be one of those wannabe who like to blast their music thinking they were cool so i decided to let let it slide.( I mean seriously I get that you love the bass, beats and music but I don't want to hear your jam man keep it to yourself )

Days later the same thing happens *BOOM BOOM BOOM* Right though my walls, I decided to see who it was and found out it was the neighbor that had moved in. I decided to give them one more chance and let it pass but then as you can guess a couple of days later usually in the weekends + Fridays Their loud music pierce my ear drums and I had enough. I decided to speak with the original owners asking politely can they tell the resident to lower their music during the day and night. And their response was " It's not our problem" I was like wow really your not going to do anything about the problem in your house/property. From that day I found out that they were A-holes who couldn't care less about anything. I contacted the local neighborhood association about the problem and they told me that they wouldn't do anything about the problem unless I had evidence, I mean really Last time I check recording my neighbors with my phone camera not only picks up noises all around but a breach in privacy and doesn't work so that's out of the question, I've contacted the local authorities about disturbance and ask them to just warn them that they aren't the only one living here and guess what they didn't even show up nor did they show up at all when my friend got robbed gun point for pizzas Really PIZZA. Any advice how to handle this as this is annoying as F*** and I pray everyday they would just leave the neighborhood since they are the only damn problem keeping it from making it a nice neighborhood.

BTW If you didn't notice I live in Houston the worst place currently for me, over run by people who can't drive, annoying kids with no respect, People knocking at my door asking if I want my grass cut even when it's already is. Lazy Azz cops who doesn't do anything.
Anyone else feel free to add.

EDIT: Added the photo of the neighbors. This is 1/3 of cars that fills my part of the street it get worse during twilight hours. I also first though the food truck was a moving truck :p I got all excited for no reason

If the cops won't do shit your SOL... Sorry, you could try to talk to city officials or something and I would attempt to get police or fire-chief to inspect the home considering how many people live there ( I know some states have a restriction on that ). Also if you tell the owner of the home that a large number of people are living there he could evict the family for violating the lease.

It is very sad when your in a situation were officials (including cops) will not do shit and you cannot move.

I used to have a neighbor who played that rap shit all the time with his cheap ass speakers while I was trying to sleep. After getting sick of hearing shitty music about weed and sex I decided to put on some good old Colt Ford and Hank Williams country music on my 10 inch sub woofers which probably pissed them off because I haven't heard it since...

Have you tried talking to them yourself and I don't mean over the phone, I mean in person. I had some neighbors like that, and my Mom went over and simply smiled and said "Hey guys, do you mind turning down the music a bit? Mostly just the bass, because it's kinda annoying and we would appreciate it" and they apologized and did it.

Recording a person in public is not against the law. Privacy is only expected within a confined location between two or more people with an expectation of privacy. If they are blasting their music and it is audible outside of their home and is done on a continuous basis, you can record them from the streets. If you have evidence, pictures, video etc over the course of a month showing that these people have more than one family, you can also bring that up. Call the cops and provide the evidence.

Don't call 911 but call the non-emergency extension. If you keep reporting and continue to collect evidence, you will eventually get someone. Please note, if they don't stop and you collect enough, you can take them to court and sue them. They are affecting your right to peace, they are also being a public nuisance as well as causing home value depreciation from multiple families, which is against the laws if it is a home designed for a single family and they have not gotten a permit with the city to have more than one family living in that home.

Most police don't bother with these tasks because there really isn't a lot they can do. Most of the time they will talk to them and that's about it. Unless it is continuous and there is long evidence, there isn't much to be done. Sad but true. That's why you must take action and collect evidence. Bring them to civil court and kick their ass there.

If you feel as though they will threaten you, go to their house and record yourself and them and state you fear them and want to record out of safety. If they do not consent, then get off their property or try and take them to the side-walk. Then talk. If they threaten you, you will have evidence.

Catch my point... EVIDENCE. You need it.

I wish I could do the same but then I would be the one causing the disturbance :p Plus an old couple lives next door to my house so I would hate to bother them.

Yes I went over there a couple of times but no one answer the door and when I did got one's attention I asked if they wouldn't boom their music so loud but all he did was talked to me in Spanish so I couldn't understand so i tried Google translate for them and they supposedly " Got the message"

Thanks for the information, since then I've been trying to get evidence showing that but the recorded noise was just static and couldn't catch the sound and I'm recording this with my Droid razr with video cam. What's weird is now they have a food truck parked in their drive way and hopefully they don't start a business there ( I'll post a pic of it later for all to see )

Take pictures of their cars. Also, they must not obstruct your ability to park in front of your own home nor block your ability to exit your drive way. If they start selling without a license, or selling from their home without approval by the city, they have violated the law.

You won't be able to take them to court but you can present this against them. Collect enough and make photocopies, mark dates and times. Bring a few friends over and have them witness it.

Contact the agency that is renting the property to them and express you displeasure that the current tenants are pissing you off. The agency will inform them that the family living in that house that they are receiving complains from other neighbours. Also if you can turn the landlord against them by complaining continually about the same thing the landlord will most likely get pissed off with the family and treat the family like shit an bill them for stupid shit when they check the house and they will probably in the end move out or not be able to extend their contract simply because the landlord dislikes them, which is completely legal to do.

If you also tell the landlord/letting agency that they are blocking up the road with many vehicles on a regular basis and won't do anything about the music being played to loud, even when you contacted them in person, explain that this is your last resort and could you please do something.

I shared a house with a few friends at college and the neighbours to the left of us kept lodging complains because my friend upstairs kept playing music quite loud in his room and seeing as the houses were joined they could hear the music in their bedroom and couldn't sleep.

Some rap actually has meaning. Not trying to change your opinion. Just informing you.
