I'm currently watching Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It's a fairly slow starter but picks up pace around episode 20, if you can tolerate the start then you're in for a treat. I wouldn't say it's up there with the best I've watched but it's definitely worth a gander if you want to watch a decent shounen.

If you're reading this thread and haven't watched anime before and need some recommendations just post in here and I'll sort you out with a show with links for it.

I would have watched so much more but I have a habit of watching a lot in a short frame of time and just losing general interest with anime. It's a shame because I do enjoy it, but in short bursts it seems.

I've only been watching anime since 2009 before then I had just watched stuff like DBZ/GT, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo etc. and Digimon. I just watch a little each night now, I'm not really even trying that hard to watch stuff but I just get through it. That being said though, 200 shows isn't really that many when I make it to 500 I'll be proud.

Fair enough. I've just been watching on and off since 2011. I have so many shows to look forward to so I usually power through them. The negative with doing this is I can sometimes become uninterested in said show and usually just drop anime all together for months. I'm hoping to at least get a few shows watched before I stop watching, because although I do lose interest I also feel like I'm missing out on so much because of it.

I know this post is very predictible, but since I've watched naruto since I was a little boy.
The only anime I've watched is that one, friends of mine who love anime so much, have showned me a couple, but I don't get that addicted to anime/manga. So yeah only naruto is the one I've watched. :|

Don't judge please, also one time my ex-bestfriend showed me this anime in wich there were alot of hentai in it. Then i got bored of it. :|

Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Gintama, Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night are all good shounens you'd probably be interested in if you enjoyed Naruto. Bleach and Gintama are quite long winded though, so I'd probably recommend Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Fate/stay night and Fate/Zero if you want to get back into anime.

Have you ever tried other genres? If you want a good slice of life and comedy then Clannad and Clannad: After Story would be a good start.


I looked at it very quickly and saw that the prequel was an OVA at the time, so I didn't think it was of much importance. Well thanks for that, I could have made a mess of what seems a good show.

You dropped Rozen Maiden? Heresy!!! The shows actually pretty good though the first few episodes are a little boring. It's getting a new anime project this year too. Not sure if that's gonna be in the form of a series or set of OVA's though, but any thing's good.

Fullmetal Alchemist, Inu Yasha, Dragonball Z (loved this one as a kid), Dragonball, afro samurai and Samurai Champloo (undoubtably my favorite). I was never really in to anime, but I had a few friends who were, which in turn got me into it. Based on my list can any one recommend any good ones? It would be very much appreciated ^_^
