Post: Is noone interested in history?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I started to noticed that when I'm in the shoutbox talking about random stuff in history like World War 2 or the Romans I get ignored, is no one interested by history? I could sit and read pages and pages about the Romans and how they use to live, I love reading about the wars that Rome took part in. Their military way of thinking and tactics really fascinate me, but I never have anyone to talk to about this sorta stuff. :fa:

So no ones likes history? :(

I think it is just younger users with shorter attention spans, or different interests. I love history and other things of similar subjects, I research things I don't know or completely understand. I will admit when I'm wrong or mislead (doing my best to fight for my view with information).

I could get into a history discussion, but i'll end it with these words...History repeats itself. The world is a system that keeps restarting.

True, true. Somethings in history doesn't repeat though, those things are usually the most important things that impact life today.

If you really look at it Shelly. Everything that has happened before, happens eventually after it. We do live in a world of where the future is always corruption. This is due to the evil that roams on the earth.

I get what you mean but I wasn't looking at it in the same picture you are, yeah corruption, greed and evilness will stalk the world. But it's the other things that happened in history that changed the way the world is today. Like females getting the right to vote, or black people being treated as equals :p

These are the little things in life. Are black people really treated as equals socially and women too? The change that happens always has a bad reaction.

Women getting the vote in the UK wasn't a little thing for society back then, now we take it for granted. Obviously all change has a reaction but it's change that puts people in the right direction. :p

Something to think about, what would of happened if Germany and Japan won the war! What would we be doing now, what language would we be speaking etc.

Germany could've won the war if Hitler didn't get greedy and try to fight on two fronts at once.
