I pprefer windows myself. Mac to me seems like computer on training wheels, Its easy and no. Linux, hmm linux is like the harley davison if you will. Just not ready to that type of thing yet.

I have a macbook but i wish apple would let other developers make their computer that would allow more individualism/ customization. I prefer mac because of how easy it is. But if you buy a mac make sure to have 2.4ghz or better cause macs can get slow especially with movie editing. I have never used linux but what i've seen it preforms like a calculator Smile nice debate tho.

I find that old people and dumb people tend to like Mac more... lol.

Windows-the average user
Does what you want, runs what you want, at a cost. Pay for antivirus, the OS(more than $200), and is easy to use. I hate the fact that a virus could be running in the backround and you dont know it.

Linux-too advanced for the average user
One must learn to use the package manager, sudo/root, how to manually install using ./configure, make, make install in the terminal, the basics of where the programs are made from and run, and the whole new OS. You have to be one with the OS to love it. It can emulate a lot of Windows programs through WINE, without getting raped by viruses in the ass. Installing eyecandy is too advanced for the average user, as you have to put files in hidden files and files within /bin, /usr, etc

I tend to like Windows for the variety of programs and the ease of use. I'd say the Linux vs. Windows debate is sort of like how the 360 vs PS3 debate was back in 2007. 360 had a large platform of games, and it got the job done perfectly. PS3 had a lot less games, but it was much more technologically advanced than the 360 was.
