I think i'll just post in the General Discussion forum because it's pretty much a "General Discussion".

So, here goes.


Recently I have noticed more and more people bitching and moaning about releases of mods for games. They're even bitching at offline mods, which in no way effect anyone else but the person who uses it.

Why in the hell are you guys complaining? It's YOUR choice to use the mods. Yes, I know modded lobbies. Some of you may want to play legit. However, you can back the fuck out of a modded lobby. Even in MW2, before i had a jailbreak, all i wanted was to get into a lobby that was modded. I only found ONE. Why? Because there are more OFW users than CFW users. You will most likely find yourself with a legit lobby as opposed to a modded lobby, yes even in mw2.

So why bitch about it? This is a modding site. Aren't you SUPPOSED to fucking release this type of shit? The answer is yes.

I know NGU isn't JUST modding, but modding is a HUGE part of this site, PS3 and XBOX.

Besides its a fucking VIDEO GAME. I think a lot of you have forgotten that it's meant to have fun. If you wanna have fun by modding the shit out of it, I say so be it.


People get so competitive and protective when a mod is released. It's dumb. Stop bitching about it. You don't like it? Get the fuck out of the modding section.

You don't like the modded lobby you're in? Back the fuck out.

I may get hate for this, but honestly i don't care lol.

It's just so annoying when I see this shit happening.

We all like to have our fun differently, so let others have their fun, and you have yours.

The NextGen Consoles are right around the corner.

So why the fuck not let the modders just have their fun? PS3 and Xbox will be down in value real soon.

I can see you bitching at nextgen mods? maybe. But really, PS3 and Xbox have met the end of their days.

Pointless to even bitch about it when you'll have the next gen consoles when they're released.

Even if you don't get the next gen consoles, you can still do what i said and avoid the shit.

An even bigger problem than people modding, are people quick scoping. Fucking hate that shit, ruined Call of duty on my behalf.

Becuase it takes all the fun out of the game for people that want to play legitimately. I found that the game kinda loses it's meaning if the leaderboards are choked up with loads of XXXXX420_BLAZESNIPERXXX who has an huge score or amount of kills that obviously wasn't got legitimately.

Watch out OP its going to tell you to back out the leaderboards... oh wait. OP is obviously beta and forgot about leaderboards.

You post that you don't care but then you make this post just ranting? You view of fun is not what other player's view. especially when most people PAY for their games and not have it purchased by mommy or daddy and instead of having fun they get aggravated by modders. You used an example saying "if a train was coming towards you you would just move out of the way" but in other player's shoe's your the terrorist who derailed the train that I have to move out of the way of" at the end of the day your still a douche who is ruining the fun for other players. Modding is fun , and I used to Mod MW2 and look how it destroyed that game. Being an Asshole is still "BEING AN ASSHOLE" even if your having fun

I didn't read any of this thread but here I go.

I don't mind offline modding or even online modding if you're using it to play infected on MW2 or something. What I do mind are these nerds coming online with their god mode and UAV hacks. The modding community has both of those features accessible to nearly anyone (UAV lobbies on PS3) and it's made a lot of the older CoDs unplayable.

It's a little bit better on Xbox than it is on PS3, but obnoxious nonetheless.

Quickscoping? Quickscoping isn't as bad as modding games and getting unfair advantages. Yes it's a one shot one kill, but it's a sniper and it would look stupid to get 3 shots one kill with a bolt action sniper. I personally quickscope and really, it's just like any regular gun. It's just the talent people needed in order to learn the moves of quickscoping. As for modding/cheating, you don't need talent. It's a press a button and shoot through walls.

I only mod single player games.. I try to avoid online games, if you look at my trophy list you will see most of the trophies i am missing are multiplayer.. i hate multiplayer! I play games to take me away from other people, my job means i have to deal with peoples bullshit all day everyday (IT First Line Tech Support) so the last thing i want when i am trying to relax is deal with more people.. especially with all those modding multiplayer games..

That being said.. i do play dead island with hacked save.. but thats not P2P.. my hacked save helps others play the game haha
