Post: My experience from Weed

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just seen that people have been talking about weed in the Shout Box a lot recently, So I'm going to tell you a little story from my scary experience on weed.

Well anywho, I started smoking weed when I was about 16 because I thought I was cool, because all the older ones I hung about with did it, well anyway the first few months of smoking weed, I always said to myself "I'm not addicted, I can stop anytime". 4 years later and I was still smoking everyday. When I was 17 and going for my driving lessons etc, I could not concentrate at all because of it, It really fucked with my head and I couldn't really stop it because at that stage I was kind of craving it. But recently my mum died of a drug overdose(Wasn't weed), and since the day of her funeral I swore I would never smoke again. She died a month ago. I'm not writing this thread for sympathy, I'm writing it because even though weed can not necessarily kill you, doesn't mean It cant play games with your head. I am clean this past month, and my head feels better than ever.
Well anyway, all I'm suggesting is. If your going to smoke weed, don't smoke it everyday. As it will bring you down eventually.

He felt sick because he wasn't high. This that not what people who are addicted to cocaine feel like?

OP didn't say he felt sick at all. He said it fucked with his head and he was craving it, which proves what I said about it being psychological. Coke, yes, it is physically addicting and you'll feel sick from withdrawals. Weed and coke are VERY different. I used to smoke everyday like he did too, but I don't anymore, decided to stop on my own for the same reasons and I never felt sick from not smoking.

It's not just me saying this either, it's scientific fact.

I am talking about this guy was a dealer and sold weed, played video games, and smoked every second he was up. His got so used to the feeling that it was more normal for him to be high than to be not high. I know weed and coke are different in most aspects by the way.

I don't really want to go debate about this (or whatever this is) because I am speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't know exactly what he felt.

lol at all the kiddies saying marijuana is bad. its legal here in colorado, i have a medical license and blaze it every day to treat my nerve damage and because i love getting baked as a cake. Smoking weed is harmless, only thing that actually harms you is the combustion of the plant when you burn it. I live on my own, i work my ass off and pay bills and still find time to smoke weed. Quit listening to the media and letting it influence your mind and actually analyze the feeling of being stoned. Maybe then you will realize that there is literally nothing wrong with it.

what??? A non Atheist on the internet? Faith in NGU restored.
Really sad that every time I go in the shoutbox someone has to be the dick that says "fuck religion" and all that stupid stuff....

OT: I smoke weed from time to time, but finally ran out of money to do it and haven't done it in two weeks. I noticed I'm feeling really bad lately, and not sleeping right, and for whatever reason having like 3 nose bleeds a day....and none of this happened while I was smoking.

Something makes me think that it is related to quitting cold turkey. But yeah I honestly think a blunt every now and then maybe 1-4 a month isn't addictive in my case

Glad you got off the stuff man, and I'm really sorry for your loss.

Good job for you man. I too have had experience with weed.. started young and thought I was invincable. It took over my life and made me do alot of things to alot of ppl. I look back at now over 10 yrs later and regret so many things I did to ppl while I was under the influence. kicked out of school and thrown into a military school at 17.. was told by the judge the If I didnt finish 6 months in this military type school in the top 12percent I would spend the next 5 years in prison for the crimes I committed while high.. as for now I dont have anything against ppl who smoke. but I myself do not recommend it to anyone.. ive been sober for over 8 years now and have a successful job, wife and some kids. I know for a fact that if I stayed with the weed and other influences I wouldnt be where I am today.. Always be thankful for what you have and never take for granted, you never know what will happen that one time you decide to get high and ruin someone elses life.. think about it.. if you are going to do things that impair you.. stay the hell home when you do.. good luck to everyone.. and pred.. congrats on being sober there is a better life out there without it..
