(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So about 3 or 4 weeks ago I sold a PS3 on eBay to someone that was running Rebug 4.46 DEX.

About two weeks later the buyer mailed me saying that the Playstation was faulty and didn't work, even though I had tested it fully before I sent it. A week on and they have now opened a case with eBay saying that my item was not as described and is seeking a full refund or another console.

They sent back the 'faulty' console and I received it today. I plugged it in, powered it on and it worked fine. I did, however, notice something different.

Not only had the HDD cover been broken off, but the console was now running PS3ita DEX 4.50 as well as a few .pkgs installed...

At first they said the console didn't work as it powered off after 10 minutes, and now they claim that it powered off after 3-4 hours of playing it. (Keeping in mind this is a DEX console)

What should I do? I really need your help!

I don't like being the bringer of bad news but you're out of luck. eBay for as long as I can remember always sided with the buyer. One because they need to provide little proof to go with their statement. Whereas the seller literally has to document every minute detail about what you sold and the condition of the product.

Sadly there is nothing to do but dispatch a refund. And if you ever sell again on eBay (which I don't recommend) document everything. That way buyers who scam are the ones who will be ruled against. Sorry about the issue man, I've been in a similar situation before.

If you have any proof that it was running that FW version I would send it to ebay.
Not sure what levels of protection sellers are offered or what else to say.

When i sell on eBay i make sure that i custom set up my auctions to prevent any negative feedback or someone with multiple unpaid item strikes from bidding or buying my items and that helps a lot.

Not much you can do you're pretty much fucked due to eBay always siding with the buyer.
