We need more scientific studies, which we can't get in the US because of Marijuana's Schedule II classification (and to be perfectly honest, I rather the scientific studies be from the US, Canada, England, etc, not really Spain to be perfectly honest, for academic reasons I rather not discuss.) You wouldn't need to create specific strains because we already have strains incredibly high in CDBs, which is the supposed chemical compounds which have medicinal effects (which target our Cannabinoid receptors in our brain and through our whole body, we have A LOT of them.)
Also I should add, onto the oil, I don't think you understand how the body transports chemical compounds through the body or even how modern medicine works at all. You design a transportation mechanism to target key areas, hence why we have shots, pills, suppositories, sprays, etc, etc. Of course rubbing oil on your skin to treat liver cancer would be foolish. A solution for that would be a drink (like the alcoholic Green Dragon) to bring said cannabis to your liver. It really isn't hard to design a transportation mechanism for cannabis to target key areas.
I do know how the body transports chemicals around the body but we are not talking about something that is easily targeted or be cured with some simple pain killers.
What I meant by a delivery system was, (using your example of Green Dragon) if it has spread elsewhere from the liver how would that cure be transported, let's face it cancer is never just in a key area, if unchecked it can spread from head to toe, just curing the liver will be pointless, the delivery system would have to be a cure that could target every cell in the body, or else you will be having a shot, pill, suppository, spray etc. all at once, plus the medicine would have to be really strong and that's if you can identify the disease as I said earlier, cancer isn't made of just one disease, then you would need a booster to help with the immune system to gain strength again, that's why radiation and surgery at the moment if the only cure for some cases.
It's estimated there are 200 million trillion cells in the human body (basically nobody knows) and you have to be able to target all the ones that have cancer and cure them all at once before it has chance to move to another area, without damaging the ones that are healthy. For some reason I just had the image of trying to catch a bar of soap in a bath, as soon as you think you have caught it, the bar slips and disappears somewhere else in the bath.
