Post: Facebook Cancer Awareness Self Shots.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I think it's amazing how a simple photo of a girl with no make up on can raise over 1 million pounds for cancer. I thought people were just posting a photo for a few likes using Cancer as an excuse to post another selfie. But with a majority these girls donating from £1-10 with each it is amazing. Social networking could become good if we allowed it. Too bad it is used for our own pointless needs, if wee all done something like this we could change the world.

Well you're not just suppose to post the selfie..Girls are meant to donate via text and then put up the selfie for letting people know they done it.

Yeah, i understand your argument but it does not change the fact that most of the people only do this to self promote. They don't donate or link anyone to the charity. A coin has two sides, i guess...

The selfies raised awareness of the charity. This means that as more people are currently aware of it, they are likely to donate, meaning the charity will raise more money.

Before this selfie for cancer thing started, a large majority of the population didn't even think of the charity, meaning they weren't going to donate.. Just short exposure in social media can have a huge affect on businesses.

I think I've made my point clear, I'm not going to reply back to you if you don't acknowledged my point.
