(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you haven't heard already, this story involves a 14 year old Dutch teenager who thought it would be funny to issue a terrorist-linked threat to American Airlines on Twitter.

Here are some images of what she said:

Then panic ensued...

According to the Daily Mail, the 14 year old, with a family member, walked into a Rotterdam police station. After some deliberation the Rotterdam Police decided that they did have right to arrest her, though she has not been formally charged yet.

I only hope that kids can look at this incident and realize that in this day in age, everything you say or do on the internet is sitting on a server somewhere, being read by god knows how many people, and with that there is a certain level of responsibility that you have to the content you put out there.

Frankly, to me this just sounds like a Beyond Scared Straight situation. At this point they are just making sure that kids get the message not to do this. At her age, with a good lawyer, she faces not possible jail time, in my opinion. Maybe some community service Sal.

Whats your opinion on the matter? How do you think this will end?

I would take Daily Mail news with a grain of salt. They really aren't a reliable news source and tend to make up bullshit and/or do stories on fake nonsense.

Wow that is ridiculous, even though it was kind of dumb to tweet that they shouldn't take it that serious, she's 14. But I like how she try's to play it off "I was joking, it was my friend not me, take her ip address not mine"

EDIT: Has anyone noticed that her Twitter is suspended? lol

If you really wanted to do this, install tails go to a cafe and use their wifi, connect to TOR (IIRC tailes only routes through TOR anyway), do nothing else while on TOR except sign up to twitter and then make a threat.

They would never be able to trace you.

Not necessarily. If the FBI found out that it was a VPN being used then they could request to see the logs and then they'll have all the information on her.
