(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If you haven't heard already, this story involves a 14 year old Dutch teenager who thought it would be funny to issue a terrorist-linked threat to American Airlines on Twitter.

Here are some images of what she said:

Then panic ensued...

According to the Daily Mail, the 14 year old, with a family member, walked into a Rotterdam police station. After some deliberation the Rotterdam Police decided that they did have right to arrest her, though she has not been formally charged yet.

I only hope that kids can look at this incident and realize that in this day in age, everything you say or do on the internet is sitting on a server somewhere, being read by god knows how many people, and with that there is a certain level of responsibility that you have to the content you put out there.

Frankly, to me this just sounds like a Beyond Scared Straight situation. At this point they are just making sure that kids get the message not to do this. At her age, with a good lawyer, she faces not possible jail time, in my opinion. Maybe some community service Sal.

Whats your opinion on the matter? How do you think this will end?

Also read some articles from Time and CNN that pretty much confirm the story Smile

Not necessarily. If the FBI found out that it was a VPN being used then they could request to see the logs and then they'll have all the information on her.

that is what I thought also

There are plenty of VPN providers that do not keep logs though, you could always use one of those.

... Never joke to airlines.. They don't have a sense of humor, just like airport security. :3c

If she used VPN the Airlines people won't be able to trace her but she would be caught regardless just would of took a little longer. But who would of expected that too happen lol
