I hope you're offended
I'm for it. And before you jump to conclusions, I am Canadian.
If a person is insane enough to take the life of another, then he should have the same done to him. I believe in an eye for an eye, or in this case, life for a life.

your right bacon-head if you kill someone you deserve to be killed yourself because if we just stick all the killers in prison it makes the tax payers pay more. Whats the sense of letting them rot in jail and the family of the dead have no comfort, when we can just kill them pay less in taxes and have more room for other inmates.

Btw i know im about to get bitched out over this

Well, here in England they don't exactly rot. They seem to have a life of luxury.

I am kind of for it. As long as there is enough evidence to prove they did it, and I mean plenty of evidence. However, if one person says no in the jury then it should have a re trial. As long as the person has a good enough reason, however. Not just a no because they are against it, but a no because a they don't think a piece of evidence is right. Taking someones life isn't and will never be a simple process.
Another option is have a really really bad prison system like Mexico seem to have.

I dont believe the government has the right to take someones life away, but at the same time taxpayers will pay to have them be in jail until they die. If they have solid evidence in convicting the murderer and he/she is over 18, they should get the death sentence.

why over 18 you get kids that beat other kids to death with their fists just because they dont like the other kid.

i agree with you to a point. Our law enforcement doesnt get that many innocent people arrested, most of the time they get the right person and i agree you do need solid evidence but we got people that we have all the evidence and they confess and we still dont give them the death penalty.

Have you never heard Ghandi's sayings, this particular one is on MW2 and is soo true. It's "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".

However id like to say id like the death penalty in certain circumstances but then you get problems about who deserves it and who doesnt; where do you draw the line. So no i dont agree with the death penalty, but laws need to get tougher. To be honest, this sort of question is a hard one because whichever way you choose its never going to be perfect and thats the problem with the law, it never can be perfect.

And to those saying if they kill they deserve death, does that not make us as bad as them? Murdering a murderer...

And if they get the wrong person? It'd be like 22/7 all over again...

I wouldn't care, because I'm not planning to kill someone.... ever. But, there is always the chance of someone being falsely accused. I'm sure we've all go in trouble in school/work for something that somebody else did. Well the worst that happens is a detention, and maybe a suspension. Imagine if you died.... for something you didn't do. That would mega-suck
