So to give you guys a little background, out of high school I was offered a partial athletic scholarship for football. This scholarship was to a private university that was very expensive and I decided to pursue and after spending a semester/season there I figured that it wasn't for me and transferred back to a community college near home to save money and eventually transfer out. I continued to play football and I carried a 3.8 gpa where I was put on the "dean's list".. fast forward to present day and it's the time where you're hearing back from universities on whether or not you got in. I live in California and applied to 6 California universities for a Finance Major while carrying this 3.8 gpa and doing sports, which for those of you who don't know elevates you because it shows you can handle a significant workload. Today I heard back from the last school I applied to and the count ended up with 3 acceptances and 3 rejections. I was surprised because usually the people in my range get accepted to these schools. After doing some research I was astonished to see that I had friends who got into these schools who went to the same school as me who had GPA's lower than 3.2.. but here's the catch, they were all "minorities". To essentially summarize, these people got in because their race was different. They were carrying a significantly lower GPA than me and some were even missing some of their pre-requisites. I am just one example of how white people are put at a DISADVANTAGE these days. It goes from schools to jobs of almost any field simply because of color. People who talk about white privilege these days are the biggest morons because it's the exact opposite, minorities are getting special privileges that white people like me aren't able to get. Everyone talks about fairness and how it's unfair that white people get these so called "privileges", man fuck that, why is it fair that these people who don't work nearly as hard as I do get rewarded for their half ass efforts? This goes in all fields of employment as well, someone who's black or hispanic will always get priority over someone that's white simply because they need "variety" and to show they're not racist REGARDLESS of that fact that the white person is more qualified for the position.*

But yeah, sorry about the rant, I just needed to get it out as it's been bothering me for a while. Whats your opinion on this topic?

All the time. Like, hell we've had people come in and purchase various Hyundai's. And they'll have like absolutely no credit, aren't putting any money down, and they'll miraculously get approved for 100% financing at like 20% APR. And you're looking at their pay stubs like nigga what. It blows my fucking mind.

lol are you one of those white people that says mexicans are stealing their jobs, but yet you will never work in construction. You dont know what hard work is m9. Once you work 15 hour shifts 6 days a week in rain or shine, then i will belive you "work hard". You complaining about this just proves that you think you are better. Instead of complaining and bitching, keep "working hard" and take it as motivation. There will always be someone that is more privilaged. In life it isnt about your education, its who you know in life. You could hav a 4.0 gpa and not get into harvard. But a kid with 3.0 gpa with a rich daddy that knows powerful people will get in. Education does help, but isnt really necessary. Work for your shit and dont expect hand outs.

i don't live in US so i can talk about my country status (Italian) only.
Here we don't grant these kind of privileges in education and work context but we do offer waaay higher help in housing.
This way, italian poors live under birdges while Rom people come here and get our houses.
Why? To receive EU grants and money for "minorities hospitality"

It's about raising minorities up and helping people who have been discriminated for decades, centuries and even millennia. White people complaining about another race getting a better chance is fucking hilarious. Laughable, like I can't stop myself.

Once enough are in higher education, races that have been historically discriminated can move up in the class system and move into the middle class. Why is there a large amount of black people living in poverty, or a vast majority in prisons? Because they were discriminated against, by who? White people. You complaining about getting into a school, that you still got into, is the definition of white privilege and victimisation. While you're getting into school, having a comfy life, police have been gunning down innocent black people because they were black, and getting away with it. You're the kind of person holding back other races.

After enough time, minorities will become more educated because of programs like this, crimes will go down, salaries will go up, quality of life will go up.
