(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'll just start off by saying this is going to be more of a rant thread than an actual discussion on my end.*

So to give you guys a little background, out of high school I was offered a partial athletic scholarship for football. This scholarship was to a private university that was very expensive and I decided to pursue and after spending a semester/season there I figured that it wasn't for me and transferred back to a community college near home to save money and eventually transfer out. I continued to play football and I carried a 3.8 gpa where I was put on the "dean's list".. fast forward to present day and it's the time where you're hearing back from universities on whether or not you got in. I live in California and applied to 6 California universities for a Finance Major while carrying this 3.8 gpa and doing sports, which for those of you who don't know elevates you because it shows you can handle a significant workload. Today I heard back from the last school I applied to and the count ended up with 3 acceptances and 3 rejections. I was surprised because usually the people in my range get accepted to these schools. After doing some research I was astonished to see that I had friends who got into these schools who went to the same school as me who had GPA's lower than 3.2.. but here's the catch, they were all "minorities". To essentially summarize, these people got in because their race was different. They were carrying a significantly lower GPA than me and some were even missing some of their pre-requisites. I am just one example of how white people are put at a DISADVANTAGE these days. It goes from schools to jobs of almost any field simply because of color. People who talk about white privilege these days are the biggest morons because it's the exact opposite, minorities are getting special privileges that white people like me aren't able to get. Everyone talks about fairness and how it's unfair that white people get these so called "privileges", man fuck that, why is it fair that these people who don't work nearly as hard as I do get rewarded for their half ass efforts? This goes in all fields of employment as well, someone who's black or hispanic will always get priority over someone that's white simply because they need "variety" and to show they're not racist REGARDLESS of that fact that the white person is more qualified for the position.*

But yeah, sorry about the rant, I just needed to get it out as it's been bothering me for a while. Whats your opinion on this topic?

Ben, your posts are literally visual cancer. This is the last time I reply to you in any sort of discussion as you've lost all possible credibility.

You've missed the entire point of the discussion lol

Again, you've missed the point. This thread isn't about me getting accepted or rejected, I'm just a mere single example of thousands of other people that are put in these positions. You and Ronye just can't handle a thought process that requires to look at something that's not face-value.

How are you going to argue that there's no proof when there's literally a law saying minorities get priority as far as college application? How much clearer proof do you need? And like Oneup said, it's funny that as soon as a white person brings up inequality for whites that it's racist bullshit but for the past couple decades everyone that's not been white has been dropping the race card for all sorts of shit but it flies because it's "racist" to disagree with.. again it's funny how that double standard works.

Chill vato, no one was talking about illegals and hispanics. That's a whole different story. I'm keeping a level playing field and talking about legal citizens of all color: hispanic, black, native american, etc.. How does me saying that I'm better qualified, which is PROVEN ON PAPER, make me think I am better than any one else? This has nothing to do with them as people, I'm not saying hispanics or blacks are shitty people and I'm better than them because they're getting this help.. I'm saying that it's bullshit that people are trying to work for "fairness" and "equality" when is clearly evident that it isn't a level playing field at all. If I've worked harder in school, which is reflected through my GPA and classes I've taken, does that not mean that I am more qualified to get that position when compared to someone who's GPA is lower? I'd think that's just common sense..

As far as knowing people, sure, that's a fair argument but that only applies to small amount of people. Just to put it into perspective, I applied to San Diego State University and they had over 80k applications for about 7k spots. Less than 1% of those people who got there, got in through solely off of connections.

Lastly, you talked about hand outs. So you're saying I'm expecting a hand out because I'm pissed that I've outworked someone on paper and they got that opportunity that I've outworked them for? That's some of the dumbest shit I've read on here. How is it a hand out when you've out worked someone?

Thanks for your informed response. Dumbass.

Like other people who have posted said, colleges care about the money, they could care less about how smart you are. They want someone that will make them look good. Now you said people with lower gpa got in and you didnt, if i remember correctly when you apply to college, they dont just look for good grades, they look for someone thats active in their community, that volunteers at shelters and does community service. It all comes down on how you will make the college look. I'm not gonna deny your point on that theres no equality. Thats true, there are others that get more help than they should but oh well, theres nothing you can do.

Hurah!
I see this bullshit white privilege thing as nothing more than an excuse to hate SUCCESSFUL white people (not all whites) because they are envious of that. It's odd how we never talk about Asian privilege (highest paid demographic int he US on average), or how for some reason, we hardly hear of Asian mafias shooting up the street and causing the deaths of young children. If "ghetto" black people want to be compatible with 21st century republic and democratic societies, they have stop fitting that typical ghetto stereotype. I'm white, but I was also born into a life of poverty (I nearly chose a life of crime and drugs), but you know what I did - I bettered myself, I didn't let the kids at my school that called me poor, turn me into a helpless person.

Never allow others force or push you into a group think of victim mentality (in this case, that whites are always oppressing, or have it better than minorities), those people will only drag you down further into the rabbit hole. Also, I think the problem with some black people today, is that they are too caught up with playing the victim card, that they no longer care about achieving honorable success.

Now, onto illegal immigrants. I believe the problem w/illegal immigration in the US is merely a cause of terrible job diversity (not diversity in terms of race or culture) - too many Americans seek out jobs that are typically less physically taxing (albeit, maybe more mentally taxing), ie. office jobs. There are simply not enough farmers, construction workers, etc. As such, illegal immigrants seek to fill the holes. I say that having some illegal immigrants who put the work and time into making their lives better, while supporting the economy, do VERY MUCH deserve to live in a strong economic powerhouse, like the US. I also acknowledge that there are numerous amounts of freeloading illegals in Cali and Florida.

*Please note that I think there is still one group in North America that is truly oppressed, especially in Canada - The indigenous people.

Well when someone makes a well thought out post the only drivel you can come up with is that? You are the spitting image of a libtard.

its all a ruse for them to hate successful people who work hard for what they have when they themselves are lazy and want things handed to them

You're just going to have to put it aside and deal with it.
