Recently, Activision posted a casting call for the upcoming 2010 Call of Duty title, confirming the game's Vietnam setting. It it's ad, it asked for an actor "to record voice-over and motion capture work for a character named Frank Barnes, who is part of an elite Vietnam unit, the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group." Seems like pretty good proof that the game will be set in the Vietnam war, some time in the late 60's/early 70's - I guess we'll still have our M16's!

Expect an official announcement from Activision some time soon, where they will be sure to unveil many details of the game. Hopefully Treyarch will be able to engineer this game to turn their failed reputation around.

We need Call of Duty: Future Warfare, also please allow a kill streak where you get to pilot a fighter jet.

Now that the Call of Duty franchise has covered most of the wars to date, future warfare would seem fitting. I wouldn't mind if they went that route but I wouldn't want to see it go to far into the future. Maybe 15-20 years from the current date. Its just an idea.

I hope they put a number in the damn game! Because CoD5 is easier than W@W. All treyarches fault for removing numbers.

Are you kidding me? what else are they supposed to make war games about? car races? There's not so many wars that every company has a assigned war to make games on. And who gives a care if it's old guns! They will do pretty much same thing as modern guns but look different! You got your semis, autos, and over powered crap.

Can't believe they skipped the Cold War, and jumped straight to the Vietnam War.
