To top off your already bad week in gaming news, prepare to be in disbelief at the outrageous price Infinity Ward are asking XBL members to pay for their upcoming DLC release "Stimulus."

For just THREE new maps, along with two of the more unpopular maps from CoD4 (Overgrown and Crash), IW are demanding 1200MSP. This equates to $15.99 USD, $19.99 AUD or £10.99 if you're English.

This is probably one of the most overpriced peices of downloadable content I have ever seen. I have to ask myself, is there anything that Infinity Ward can do to make me have less respect for them? No, probably not..... Unless Robert Bowling demanded a handjob from each of the people willing to download the DLC......

Seriously though, $15.99???

I wouldn't say it is ridiculous.

But let's take things into a perspective now:
1) DLC costing a fraction that high compared to the original games price, is kind of pricey.
2) We payed $60 for the game: we got plenty of maps, weapons, gametypes, etc.


Now let's break that down, how are five maps comparing to a whole game, worth 25% of the game's price? I'm not trying to say it's too expensive, or anything along those lines.

But you do the math, 15:60 = 1:4 (obviously), so if we play 25% of the games worth, should we not get something a little more than a few maps? Maybe a different game type, maybe more weapons, maybe even a small EXP boost, or some more prestiges?

We all know that IW is completely capable of adding more than just maps, if we are going to pay 25% of the games price, at least give us something more or even a few more maps.

I am still for buying DLC to give Infinity Ward an incentive to keep releasing the content.

It's simple economics:
No buyers = No content.
If you don't buy their product (in this case being game add-ons and downloadable content), then they will quit releasing them. The more people that buy them and the more people that ask, the more chance we get more than just maps.

I honestly didn't know that. Hopefully I don't offend anyone when I say this, but I don't have the time to research MW2 DLC.

Think about it like this. You bought the game for like $60 with like mmmm 12 maps? And now the map pack has like 5 maps that cost $15.99.? For ps3 all you have to do is buy a $20 card, enter the code and BOOM! You have $20. Is that such a big deal? $20? Plus your gonna buy the map pack anyway or download it off someone elses account. I think this thread is bullshit not the price. Stop crying about the price. The game and maps are worth a buy anyway.

I don't know why everyone is whining ver how much it is becuase they will still suck you into buying it. They know that you want it and want to suck the money outta your parents pockets.

wow wtf? 20$ oh shet! haha there goes a whole card of my microsoft pts and btw overgrown was the worst map and crash was a good map for search and destroy and free for all but thats about it and aswell as I might add ive heard there adding a New game mode in the map called "Thermonuclar War" "Vip" & something else along with some new gun attachments and new gun camos such as the gold camo might come back and some new sights besides Red dot sight and ACOG scope

I dont think there adding perks, camos, more weapons, but I do know there addin more maps LOL
