During a company financial earnings call last week, Activision's Thomas Tippl seemed to indicate that the next map pack release for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would drop in the latter half of the calendar year. Apparently Thomas Tippl cannot read a calendar, because June 3, the day the Resurgence Pack is scheduled to hit Xbox Live, is definitely on this side of the year. Perhaps he was talking about the PlayStation 3 and PC versions?
Either way, it's great news for both people who enjoy playing Modern Warfare 2 and people who enjoy complaining about it.
For the players, Infinity Ward is celebrating the announcement with two double experience point weekends, one starting on May 28 and the other on June 4, after the Resurgence Pack is released.
As for the complainers, Activision was very pleased with the sales of the $15 Stimulus Pack, so there's a good chance the Resurgence Pack will follow a similar pricing model.
As for details, all we know so far is that the pack will contain five maps. Here's hoping none of them are remakes, though judging by the name, I'd say one or two might be likely. Fingers crossed!
As far as how this map pack will be is most likely is crappy maps and a high price. If this map pack is 15.99 I WILL NOT Buy this map pack. I'm not sure about you but just about every DLC I've ever downloaded for any game they all aren't as good as the original stuff. (Only good DLC I ever bought was Nazi Zombies).
Well that's what I have to say about This new map pack that will probably not be all that good but then again don't take my word for it. They might surprise us all but I kinda doubt it.

even if you bitch about how gay MW2 is and how much you hate the map pack(s), Lets face it you will most likely purchase the new one when it hits on june 3rd.
Now here is my opinion, and i'm not sure how many other people have noticed this but these map packs are only spread what ...2 months apart?, does anyone else see this.
Infinity ward totally FAILED with MW2 and now they are trying to force out as much DLC they can before people realize how crappy it is and how poorly made it was.....
It took them so long to make this so called "Epic game of the century" everyone was anticipating to get their hands on..
Cod4 and WAW released map packs in a spread out period of time... 2 months apart for these ones?? and i mean come on i know everyone loves Cod4 maps, but seriously who writes the idea's at IW. "just throw in some cod4 maps and slap a price on it"
seriously, IW has always been stupid. Release 2 old maps that you just transfer to MW2 for Cod4 and bam there is your map pack since the other 3 levels are pretty much square boxes with Fkn planes in the middle, with lots of little corners for homo's to hide in.
If you wanna play a real game play BFBC2 it actually takes some skill.,... and oh hey they dont charge you for DLC. its already accessible from the store once they release it.
IF you ask me it's getting retarded. What is for map pack 3?? once they run out of Cod4 level's

MW2 is the best FPS EVER, just get used to it. Bitch all you want, but you must realise this game was made for noobs. Just adjust and take counseling to solve your anger issue problem that you got from WaW.
