More New Black Ops Details

Even more brand new Black Ops details for you now, straight from the recent feature in the Official Playstation Magazine. For my other recent thread full of Black Ops details, click You must login or register to view this content. This is just a quick summary of all the points they made:

Most of the game is indeed, set in Vietnam, however there will be some missions outside of this conflict, as the game spans the entire Cold War, which amounts to roughly 60 years.

The games focuses on "hot points" in the history of the Cold War, i.e major Vietnam battles / incidents, the Cuban Missile Crisis, etc. The time span is "decades".

One mission will be very similar to one found in the current Call of Duty series, this could possibly mean Berlin? Reichstag / Berlin wall etc.

Weapons wise, there is a shotgun called the Dragon Breath, which uses incendiary ammo that sets enemies on fire (as seen in the trailer). Also included are the M16 and AUG, as already seen, however, expect them to feel different from their modern day versions.

The guy with the headband and the tattoos is not the main character, he is simply a friend and an NPC.

There are lots of stealth missions, like sneaking round camps and killing sleeping guards, similar to the start of Wetwork.

Reznov, as I pointed at in my previous thread, is indeed to return. He's apparently older and cooler than in World at War, but none the less Russian. Gary Oldman is also expected to return.

The engines is an updated version from that of World at War. Treyarch has taken nothing from the Modern Warfare 2, all the changes are it's own. According to the writers, the graphics are stunning.

A fully destructible environment was another thing I spoke about - "not everything will be destructible", but "if you expect it to, it will."

Lots and lots of film references, Platoon, Deer Hunter, Hamburger Hill.

Dedicated co-op, i.e not just a replay of the campaign, an entirely new story. No zombie conformation yet, but they want to "please the fans", so let's hope they're listening.

So like as Reznov gets older and cooler, im guessing the Russians is in it?? so is it that this war, the Cold War happens after Cod WAW??, that'll be awesome, what would of been better is that if Dimitri, or the character you played as in WAW, was in this game Smile EPIC AS!! if only it did happened, but Reznov is a awesome dude i guess, similar to Cpt.Price
