After weeks of rumour and speculation, a PSN Premium service has finally been confirmed. Andrew House, president of SCEE, confirmed that Playstation users would be getting a "premium" service very soon, in an article on Playstation.com
“I can assure you that the current PSN as you know it will remain a free service,” he said. “It is something that our competitors don’t offer and something that shows our loyalty to the PlayStation Community.”
“However,” after being asked if there would be a paying service “Kaz Hirai stated a few months ago that we were looking at a premium service to sit alongside the current free service and that objective has not changed.” He also said the subject of Cross-Game Chat is certainly “something that the community wants” and said “you’ll learn more about it very soon.”

like i said before if cross game chat and a protection plan is included in the serivice where do i sign up b/c anything else extra is just a bonus and if there is discount off the store i hope its out before july so i can get money off the new DLC for MW2
