Ok, so as on the last 360, each unit came with a warning sticker asking you not to move the console while the disc is spinning inside. Luckily, most of the time, no damage was done if you did, however with the new 360 S, it's a different story. As seen in the video above, the console completely munches on the disc, creating a giant scratch and a nasty sounding noise, and basically ruins the disc. So in conclusion, whatever you do with your new 360 S, do not move it around when you're playing a game, or prepare to never play your game again.

Yeah Ive heard of those repair services where they place it in a machine it spins for like a minute and its good as new(usually). But doesn't that fix method take off a very thin layer of the disc?

Also I am sure if its pretty deep in there is not much they can do for it.

If the OP had an Xbox 360 Original he would know that this happened on the Original and it was just as bad. It's not an Xbox 360 problem, it has always been here. You can't try and "slaughter" the Xbox by taking one incident and saying it scratches disks to get rep from the PS3 fan boys when it has always scratched them if it moved.
