once you pull the dongle usb chip out.. your backup won't load, but you still have the backup in your hhd..
now i don't know if sony can come up with something to detect you have backup game inside the hdd or not...even though it won't load without the usb chip..
if you wanna be save use external drive, but it's not as good..in my opinion..

I don't know if i would give a thumb up for this psjailbreak.. cos I have a feeling sony will find a way to stop it quick.. and then you can't go online with it anymore..(firmware update or just starting to ban console left and right)
the psjailbreak suppose to be able to be update, but the question is how long will take them before they can find a work around once sony patch this thing.. that's what I am afraid of.. but hey, at least I didn't have to pay 180$ for it.. I got it for free...

hey the 4 gb limit works like this... MGS4 is a game folder..inside the folder there's alot of files for the game... as long as none of those file is over 4gb.. it will work...
another word game can be over 4gb as most ps3 games are.. it will work as long as each file inside the game is not over 4gb..
i got uncharted,god of war, and few others to load.
all together I have 2 backups cos I only have a 60gb fat ps3..
the ps3 games are big, so make sure you have a big harddrive to hold your backup

i dont think sony will detect this, but they can patch it

it kinda reminds me of Daemon Tools (PC ISO mounting software)

it tricks the system into thinking the disc is in the drive, thats why you see it show the game disc when backup is loaded

Yeah, i know that. Do you have backups? How do you do it? I've searched for the backup manager and i got one pkg file but i deleted it because i don't want to break my ps3, how do you got the backups?

you need the psjailbreak dongle to install it... the dongle thing its some kind of chip not a usb drive..

the .pkg is real... but you just need the dongle thing to boot it into debug mode and then install the backup manager.pkg

but can sony detect the loading speed of the game.. because the load time is different....?????

i'm not too sure but i have 2 ps3's

and i'm keeping 1 on 3.41 fw just incase

lucky you.. i think i am going to buy another ps3 and setup a new psn just incase..

it will be worth it, think of all the money you'll be saving in the long run with free games

yeah, but if newer games require updates to play it... you may out of luck.. unless they can continue to came up with a work around for the newer games.. kinda like xbox
