A hacker on YouTube has claimed that he is testing the worlds first PS3 mod-chip. According to the hacker, the games can be loaded off an external memory device, and it supports all firmwares. He points out that it is still in testing stages, but nothing has been proved as of yet.

i have a theory on whether they will detect it in the ps3 general forums. i dont think it is right now if they make an update maybe

Yes you are correct it does that as we see in the video it also reminds me of devhook for the psp
