In my opinion, don't flame me for this or anything similar. Yes, the ps3 might be ours if we bought it or was given to us but you have to create some common sense here. Sony made the system and created everything you are using in there except for some games. Clearly if I am right, GeoHotz was trying to hack through Sony's servers to find a way to get free games, which in fact is PIRATING and is against the law. The makers of the certain products have thought, concept, and created the product with quite an effort, which is worth paying at least.
Now I don't want you all to think I'm in Sony's side, I'm not. In fact I'm not on either side since I'm a neutral person. I don't hate ps3s nor X-boxes. But my point here is, well Geo might have tried to give us a treat here but seriously? I mean most rules are meant to be broken that's why their made. But there are some rules that were or are broken but taken too far and this is one of them. Hacking servers that are owned by big companies like Sony is basically saying that you will get butt ****ed.
We play, hack and glitch but taking some of it too far is just a death trap.
Why can't we all just calm down and just hope for the best for whatever is going to happen next and just stop crying about this issue.
Because that's a small issue. Have Treyarch to bitch at so seriously.
Anyways this s one of my bad sides:
Who ever said that kids who think they can hack because they download some crap and followed a noob tutorial doesn't mean they hack. They are just spoiled 8-10 year old kids that cries to their parents when they get whooped by a better player.

This may be the longest reply I made ever since I joined this site. YAY.
PEACE! >out<
Well you stated that Geohot was hacking the servers to find a way to get free games.Which is incorrect that was not his intention and thats why his firmware patch you wasnt actually able to do that, without modding itself. These few other dev's and just people that know little programming code took what they had available produced different versions which could be capable of pirating games
